Chapter 42- getting prepared

Natsus POV
I woke up early in evers bed and felt her hugging me close. I let myself wake up for a moment before looking at her. Her sleeping face was so beautiful and peaceful, i couldnt help myself. I kissed her forehead lightly and left my lips there for a moment. When i pulled away i noticed that her eyes were open and she was looking at me. She smiled brightly before speaking, "good morning,". I smiled at her before kissing her soft lips. I felt her smile against my lips before i pulled away, "good morning, beautiful," i said. "How about we go make some food?" She asked. "Okay, just let me hold you for another minute," i said as i pulled her closer to me. She rester her head on my chest for a moment before speaking, "when did i get changed?" She asked. I felt my face heat up at the memory of last night. "Well uh, you were sleeping in your jeans, and i uh- felt bad so uh- yeah," i explained while my face felt hot. "Oh, so you changed me?" She asked. I nodded without saying a word. "Its okay natsu, i dont mind if you undress me," she told me, making my face heat up even more. She looked up at my face and smiled brightly, "youre so cute when you blush," she said, making me turn away from her, "i- im not blushing," i said. "You are too! And its adorable," she said trying to turn my face towards her again. I turned towards her with a pout, "well sorry if your perverted talk is making me blush," i said sarcastically. She giggled before speaking, "i really didnt mean it in a sexual way," she said. Before i could reply she leaned in closer to my ear and whispered, "well unless you want it to be sexual," she said. "Uh-i uh- lets go make food!" I said standing up while she giggled. "Okay we can go make food, but maybe you should get dressed," she said, pointing out that i was still in my boxers. "Oh shit!" I said before grabbing my clothes. I threw on my jeans and tshirt before we went downstairs. We walked into the kitchen and she immediatly put on a kettle for tea. "What do you want to eat?" She asked me. "Im sure whatever you make will be great, baby," i said making her cheeks turn a bit pink. "Okay, hold on," she pulled out eggs, milk and three bags of white powder. "Sugar?" I asked, pointing to the one bag. She nodded, "yeah sugar, flour and baking powder," she answered making me nod. She then pulled out a small bag of wierd brown things. "What is that?" I asked. She giggled, "vanilla, youve never seen it?" She asked. I shook my head, "thats wierd, never seen it," i replied. She began mixing everything into a bowl as i watched her, happily. She leaned down to pull out a pan from her bottom cabinent and gave me a pretty nice view. I stared at her for a moment as she rumaged through her cabinent but she finally spoke, "are you staring at my ass?" She asked making me blush again. "Wha- no!" I said as she stood up. "Mmhmm suure you werent," she said sarcastically as she put the pan onto the stove. She then took out a bag of chocolate chips making me smile, "yes! Chocolate!" I said, making her laugh. She poured some of them into the bowl and began mixing again while the pan was heating up. She made about twenty pancakes before she ran out of batter. She took out a few plates and put teo pancakes on a plate before handing it to me, "here ya go, chocolate chip pancakes," she said with a smile. I smiled brightly, "awesome! Sounds great," i said as she gave me the syrup. "Im gonna go get ethan," she said before walking away. She was gone for a few minutes but came back with ethan in tow. They set up their plates and also sat down before ever spoke. "So i have to meet doranbolt at 6 today," she explained. I raised my eyebrows, "oh is this a date?" I said sarcastically. Ever giggled before answering, "you know its not! We just have to talk more about the case," she said. "Did you want us to go with you?" Ethan asked her. She shook her head, "no, i think itd be best if i went alone," she said. "Well at least let me drive you," i told her. "Thatd be nice," she answered. "I can go to miras i guess," ethan said as he finished eating. Ever put our plates in the sink before speaking, "why dont we watch a movie before i have to go?" She asked. Ethan shrugged while i answered, "yeah that sounds great," i told her. We ended up watching finding nemo which was really nostalgic, when the movie was over it was already 530. "I have to get dressed," ever said before standing up. "You can come with me natsu," she said before walking away. I looked at ethan for approval and he just rolled his eyes and waved me off. I followed ever upstairs and watched her get undressed. She wore a lacy red bra with the same matching panties from last night, her back was facing to me as i sat on her bed and tried to stay calm. She opened her drawer and pulled out a pair of brown jeans and a long white dress. She turned towards me and held up the dress, "what do you think?" She asked me. The dress was a plain, long sleeved white dress that came down to about knee length, but i wasnt really paying attention to that. "Uh- its uh- really nice," i said, trying to look down at my feet. "Whats wrong?" I heard her asked. I cleared my head before looking up at her, "oh- its nothing, im fine. Thats a cute outfit, you should wear it," i said, trying to get her to put clothes on. "Are you sure nothings wrong natsu?" She sat down next to me as she asked this and put her arrm around my shoulder.

Evers POV
"Are you sure nothings wrong natsu?" I asked him as i sat next to him. He looked up at me and i noticed his eyes roaming my body. "Really im fine, get dressed," he said plainly. I almost felt sad for a second but then i realized what his problem was. "Natsu, you really can look at me if you want to, i mean i did bring you up here while i was getting changed," i explained as natsu nodded, "i know its just-" as he spoke he put his hands on my hips, "i really am awful arent i?" He asked making me gasp. "What? Why would you think that, natsu?" I asked as i hugged him. I felt him tense up before he spoke, "see i- youre being all kind and sweet and i just- i just want to- god ever, youre so hot," he stuttered out, "well youre pretty attractive too, natsu~" i purred into his ear. He quickly pushed me away from him and put one of my pillows into his lap, "really ever, get dressed," he said more seriously. I looked at him for a moment as if to apologize before i slipped my clothes on. Once i was dressed i sat next to natsu again, "so you sure you want to drive me?" I asked him. Natsu nodded, "yeah, anything for you," he said making me blush. "Well how about you hangout with ethan until i get back?" I said. Natsu nodded, "sure, just call me when youre done," he said as we walked out of my room. "Alright ethan, im going to meet with doranbolt, natsu will be here in the meantime," i said as me and natsu got to the front door. "Alright, ill be here!" He answered. Me and natsu got into his car and drove to the cafe. It didnt take too long and i could see doranbolt sitting at a table inside from the car. "Okay well, i see doranbolt so ill call you when were done. Bye natsu~" i said as i kissed his cheek before exiting the car. "Alright ever, dont have too much fun!" He said sarcastically as i walked into the cafe. I saw him drive away after i entered and doranbolt stood up as i approached his table. "Good evening, ever," he said as we sat down. "Hey, you werent waiting long, right?" I asked out of politeness. He shook his head, "oh no, i just got here a few minutes ago," he replied. "Well lets get down to buissness," (to defeat, the huns!) he said as he took out his notebook.

Ethans POV
When ever and natsu left i felt like calling someone so i dialed miras number out of habit. When she picked up she sounded as cheerful as usual, "helloo?" She answered in her sing songy tone. "Hey beautiful," i said trying to sound cute. "Whats up ethan?" She sounded like she was preoccupied. "Im sorry are you busy?" I asked. I heard her sigh before answering, "kinda, you see lisanna and elfman are volunteering at this camp for a few days so i got stuck watching asuka," she answered. "Uh... whos asuka?" I asked. She giggled before replying, "oh asuka is our friend alzack and biscas little daughter," she replied. "Alzack and bisca?" I asked, confused. She giggled again, "yeah they go to the university with jet and droy, you still havent met them either!" She said. "Oh i see, so youre baby sitting?" I asked. I swear i could hear her nod from the other end of the line, "yeah, shes not too bad which is good, she just wont sleep," she answered. "Why dont you bring her over here?" I asked, not knowing why i said that. "Why? You think you could help?" She asked.i scanned through my brain of any possible way i could help a child sleep, "well i have this old lullaby tape my dad used to play to us," i blurted out but then felt embarassed. "Aww that sounds nice. And ill take any help at this point. You know what? Could you pick us up?" She asked. I stood up and grabbed my jacket as i answered, "sure, im on my way out the door now," i told her. "Great ill see you then!" She said sounding happy.
