Chapter 53- eternal happiness

Evers POV
"Come on! Cant we come yet?" I asked natsu who was on speaker phone while we all crowded around it. "Not just yet. Rose, daisy, go meet your dates and then head over to the park. Should be ready by then. Ever, just wait like ten minutes then come over," he said. All the girls began trying to talk to him but he just hung up. "Well, i guess im going to meet john," rose said. "Jura said he would be picking me up here," daisy said. "Okay, well i guess we just have to wait now." Erza said. "Im excited! Its been so long since ive been to a new years party that i didnt throw!" Mira said. "Im heading out, see you guys there!" Rose said but as she opened the door she stopped. "You must be jura," she said extending her hand to jura who was now in the doorway. "Yes hello, who may you be?" He asked. "Im rose, daisys sister. Its nice to meet yo but im sorry i have to run," she said as she pushed past him. "Jura! Come in," i told him. He smiled and shut the door behind him as he entered. "Its nice to see you again," erza said. "Nice to see you ladies again," he spoke. "Are you ready to go?" He asked daisy. Daisy nodded, "yeah, i cant wait!" She said as she stood uo. "Well you look lovely," he said as they walked out the door. "I guess we should head to the park now," lisanna said. "I can fit four people in my car," i said. "And i can have six in mine," fried explained. "Great, thats enough room, lets go," cana said as she finished her beer. We all packed into the cars and headed to the park. When we got there we saw a large area with blankets all around. We noticed rose and daisy with jura and a light haired boy on the blanket farthest from the center of the circle. "Hey guys, your boyfriends are waiting over there," rose told us as we approached. "Thanks! I cant wait to see my gray sama," juvia replied before running off towards gray. "Are you john?" I leaned down as i asked the blond boy next to rose. He nodded in response but didnt say anything. "Well im ever, this is erza, lisanna, cana, lucy, fried, levy, mira, evergreen, wendy and the blue haired girl that ran off is juvia," i told him. He nodded, "n-nice to m-meet you," he stuttered out. Rose smiled and put her hand over his as if congradulating him. "Well i hope you have fun tonight," i said before walking over to where i saw natsu sitting on a blanket. Juvia and gray were also sitting on our blanket. Evergreen and elfman sat with lisanna and bickslow. Laxus and fried sat with jellal and erza. Mira and ethan sat with levy and gajeel. Wendy and romeo sat with lucy and cana and a few random couples from the area sat off to the side, without a blanket or picnic basket. The sun was starting to set and the candels placed around the blanket illuminated our surroundings. "This is so beautiful gray sama," juvia told him. Gray smiled, "i know but to be fair, it was natsus idea," he admitted. "Really? Thats so sweet," i told natsu. "Well- we should eat, before the fireworks start," he said. "Fireworks?" Me and juvia asked happily. Natsu nodded, "yes fireworks," he said as he wrapped an arm around my waist. "And afterwards theyll be a little show," gray said making me and juvia confused.

Erzas POV
Jellal began unpacking the pinic basket to reveal the best strawberry cakes! "Ooh this looks tasty!" I said. "well we bought these for you two so go ahead," laxus said. "For both of us?" Fried asked him. "Of course, both of you," laxus told him. Jellal wrapped an arm around my waist as we all began eating the delicious cake. The sun was set now as we finished eating and everyone around hs was chatting happily. Most of the couples were cuddling. Cana laid her head on lucys lap, wendy and romeo held hands. Daisy was sitting in juras lap, laughing happily as rose and john held hands. Ever and juvia were both sitting in their boyfriends laps giggling happily. Evergreen and lisanna sat with their legs over their boyfriends as they leaned against eachother. Levy was in gajeels lap and ethans head rested on miras as the boys joked loudly. Fried laid next to me as laxus and jellal sat next to us. I was about to speak when the loud sound made me look towards the countdown until midnight that counted down. "10!" Everyone began chanting along. "9!" Juvia yelled happily. "8!" Ever gave natsu a kiss as she said this one. "7!" Mira leaned down and gave ethan a peck on the lips. "6!" Gajeel lifted levy in the air happily as she giggled. "5!" Lisanna gave bickslow a loving boop in his nose. "4!" Evergreen rested her head on elfmans shoulder. "4" jura smiled before kissing daisy on the top of her head, causing her face to turn as red as my hair. "3!" John gave rose a light kiss on the cheeks which she replied with a big smile and hug. "2!" I looked at jellal as he sat up and smiled. "1!" Everyone cheered and began kissing and hugging. Juvia and ever jumped on eachother while giggling, causing confusion from their boyfriends. The next loud sound was from the fireworks that were being displayed. Bright hues of reds, purples and blue shattered throughout the sky, silencing us all. Me and fried looked towards eachother and smiled widely, this was the perfect way to end the year. I looked back up and noticed jellal and laxus both shift slightly as a red and green heart exploded into the sky. "Erza..." "fried..." i looked towards jellal who was on his knee next to me. "Oh shit!" I thought. "Ever since i met you in grade school i knew....i knew you were the one for me. Well be graduating in a few months and i need to know," jellal paused for a moment and pulled out a red velvet box. I put my hand over my shocked mouth as i felt tears prick the corners of my eyes. "Will you erza scarlet..." jella opened the box and revealed a brilliant ring. It had a silver band with a ruby in it. "Would do me the honor of becoming my wife?" He finally asked, breaking me out of my trance. I only whimpered for a second before nodding slowly and jumping onto him. We fell to the ground in a soft kiss. "I- i love you so much jellal," i told him. "I love you too, erza fernandez," he said as he slipped the ring onto my finger. I looked over and saw laxus and fried looking down at us. "Wait, you already did it?" Jellal asked as i got off of him. "Yeah- fried attacked me in a hug before i could even finish asking," laxus said as he rubbing the back of his neck as fried held our his hand to show me the beautiful ring. It was a golden band with an emerald in it. I barely had time to say anything as everyone around us erupted in louder cheers. "Erza!!" Ever ran straight at me. "My ships!" Mira yelled in happiness as she ran at us. "Finally fried!" Evergreen ran at him. "That was adorable!" Juvia yelled as she ran towards us. Me and fried looked at eachother worried as everyone came running towards us and attacked us in hugs, causing all of us to be on the floor. "I need to help with your dress!" Lucy told me. "Can i be both of your wedding planners?" Mira asked us. "Can i be your flower girl or something?" Wendy asked with a huge smile. "Do we all get to be bridesmaids?" Juvia asked. "I could do the ceremonies!" Levy told us. "This is going to be amazing!" Ever yelled. All the guys were over there congradulating laxus and jellal and apparently we were being too loud because police came and told us we had to leave! They said it was the usual noise complaint but we had fireworks before that! We agreed to meet back at miras and continue the party there.
