"PROM!" My brother yelled and ripped me out of my dreams. I opened my eyes to look at his freckles and blue eyes. "Leave me alone or the tooth fairy will visit you again!" I told him and turned around in my bed. "It's Monday and mom told me to wake you up!" He told me and climbed onto the bed.
Have I ever mentioned how annoying little brothers are?! No, well they are! Especially when they wake you up and pull you out of a dream that you really enjoyed.
"Promise! Get out of bed and don't hurt your brother!" Mom told me, while my brother ran out of my room and down the stairs like an elephant. "I'm up!" I said, while crawling out of bed and sitting down on the edge. "I really hope you are downstairs in less than five" Mom said and left my room. I groaned and let myself fall down on my bed again, but my mother yelled again, so I sat back up. I grabbed my phone to see a text by Lars.

I smiled and put my phone down, then went downstairs and took my spot at the breakfast table. "Good morning Sweetie" Dad said and I groaned "Not sure what's good about it" I said and made myself a bowl of cereal. "It's a new day, you should be happy" Dad tried to cheer me up. "You were happy when you had to wake up for school?" I asked him "From what I heard, you liked skipping a lot" I said and he looked down "I didn't say anything!"
I finished eating and went back upstairs to get dressed.
In school the first person I met in school was my somehow cousin. I don't really know what he is from me. He's my mom's cousin's son, but that doesn't change how annoying he was.

"That family event, while you be there? I mean, your parents and brother will be there, but will you be there as well?" He asked nervous, like he has a crush on me, which is disgusting since we are somehow related.
"I'll be there. After all will my best friend be there" I said and wanted to walk away from me, but Henry followed me. "What else do you want!?" I asked him pissed. "Just want to ask if I can hang out with you and your girls" "They aren't interested" "Neither am I" He said and I rolled my eyes "Then tag along" I told him annoyed and walked ahead. He followed me like a little dog.
"You two know Henry?" I asked them and they nod "He's hanging with us today" "Why?" Evie asked. "Because he has no friends" I answered and Henry looked at me "Not true! I am just not talking to them at the moment" He defended himself. "Why not?" I asked him curious. "Not important, I'll see you guys later" He said and disappeared. "Is it just me or is he weirder than usual?" Ronnie asked.
"Yes, something is wrong with him" I said and looked the direction he had just disappeared to "But I'm going to figure it out!" I told them, then said goodbye and went to class. "There you are!" My cousin and third best friend Miriam said as I took my place next to her. "Just on time" She said, while I got out my stuff. In that moment the teacher came in.
"Okay, who can tell me the worst thing that could happen" He said and Jesse spoke up "Copeland falling for her brother, just like her mom did" "Enough Ashcroft!" Mr Tanner said. I turned around to face him "My parents are still not related!" I told him "They aren't brother and sister, jeez! Why won't you get that into you stupid head?! You can't choose who you love and besides, they were dating when they were even younger than we are! They were each others first relationship and they will be each others first and don't you dare to say anything about them ever again or I will burn your face off!" I yelled at him.
"Copeland!" My teacher said and just now I realized that I was in class "Oops" I said and turned back to the front. "Promise and Jesse, detention! Also you can clan up the class room after class" He told us and I groaned and put my head down on the table. "You do remember this is chemistry and laying your head onto the desk can be dangerous?" Miriam asked and I lifted it again and looked at her "Not helping!" I told her and gave Jesse a death stare, before putting my concentration back on the class.
After class, we stayed behind just as told. I started cleaning the glasses we had used, while he was cleaning the tables. "You know that this is all your fault?!" I asked him and he laughed "You are the one with anger issues. Ever thought about anger management?" He asked and I turned around to him "Ever thought about going back to England?!" I asked him. "Nice one, yet it could be better" He said, not even close to being impressed.
We finished up and I hurried past them to catch up with Henry, who was waiting in front o the class. "So, why aren't you with your friends?" I asked him again. "Not important. I'll tell you another time" He said and disappeared in the boy's bathroom.
I groaned and walked to my next class, when Lennon Germaine placed herself in my way. She had a huge crush on Jesse, but he didn't even know she exists. "Copeland, the last person I want to see each day" She said in her bitchy voice. Her blonde hair was sitting perfect as always. "Funny" I started and tilted my head to the right "I was about to say the same thing" I said and gave her a fake smile. So fake, you could tell it was fake.
"Just get out of my way" Lennon said and I smiled "Oh my god, almost like you can read my mind" I said and stayed right where I was, so she ended up walking around me. "1:0 for Copeland" I said to myself and smiled, while continuing to walk. I ended up running into Lars, who was with Brandon and sadly Jesse. "Hey" Lars said and kissed my forehead. "Hey" I said and put my arm around him.
"Gosh, that isn't even a real relationship!" Jesse said "You didn't even kiss yet!" "Last time I checked, this wasn't any of your business and guess what, it still isn't!" I snapped at him. "What's up with you two?" Lars asked confused. "He got me detention! I'm an A student and I got detention! Doesn't make sense to me!" "What did you do Jesse?!" He asked and Jesse asked offended "Why me? Why do you think it was my fault?" "Because it was yours! Like always he makes fun of me for my parents loving each other!" I told him.
"What's so wrong about parents loving each other?" Lars asked. "Um, her parents are brother and sister and her mom wasn't much older than her when she had her" Jesse said and I was a little confused "How do you know that? The part of them being teen parents. I haven't told anyone and I'm sure my cousins haven't said anything either, also they are step-siblings!"
"Anyone can find that out when they know math" He said. "You know math?!" I asked shocked.
