"So, what are we gonna do first?" I asked, sitting on a picnic table, tanning myself. "I'd say the lake, what about you guys?" Keeley asked. "Will your mystery guy be there?" I asked and she blushed a little. "Well, I'm in!" I said and jumped up.
I didn't even think about Danielle anymore. I mean I'm sorry I couldn't keep her and take care of her, but what else could I have done? I'm turning 16 in a few weeks. I'm too young to have a kid.
"Let's go!" Ronnie said, maybe a little too happy. "And what's up with you?" I asked her curious. "I might have met a boy as well..." She said. "What? I'm so happy for you!" I said and hugged her. So the four of us started walking towards the lake. It was a great hangout spot. Mostly teens were coming here. You barely see anyone younger or older.
"So, who's in the water first?" I asked, pulling my shirt off, revealing my bikini top. Next were shoes and shorts. "Right behind you!" Keeley yelled and we started racing. I ended up winning. "Hey, isn't that Sean over there watching us?" I asked and she turned around. "You okay?" She asked and I nod "Go!" I told her. She briefly hugged me before leaving the water and running over to the guy she liked.
I met him while being in the hospital. He swore not to tell anyone about me, I don't think he is even allowed to, but I was happy for Keeley. In the time she had stayed with me, she went through a lot of trouble and Sean brought that sunshine back into her smile. She was Little Miss Sunshine again, at least around him.
"Did you miss me?" A British male voice asked and I turned around. "Jesse" I said happy and hugged him. "Wow, I should have come home earlier" He said and I laughed "Are you a Sophomore now?" I asked giggling. "If you are asking if I passed, I did. But Jake was a little down. What happened?" He asked. "I broke up with him. I couldn't be with him anymore. His life is in London and mine here. The months we had were perfect, but... this is my real life" I said and swam a bit "You're coming?" I asked with a smirk. He did swim after me and after a while we sat down on a towel and talked a little.
"How are Phoebe, Poppy and Hanna?" I asked him. "Missing you, but they are great and they are still dating their boyfriends" He said and I was happy that they were happy. "Can I ask you something?" I asked, looking at him. "Anything babe" He said. "Can we be friends? Just friends?" I asked and he sighed "For now" He answered and I laughed "Good enough for me. I'm not looking for a boyfriend right now" I told him.
"Seriously?! You're with one of my best friends now?!" Lars asked angry. This was the first time I saw him since I have been back. "NO! We were literally just talking about being friends!" I told him "Right Jesse!" I said and looked at him. "For now. As long as you want to be single" He said. "I know what Brandon told me, but I don't believe it! I want to know the real reason you broke up with me!" Lars said.
"Fine!" I said, got up and pulled him into the woods with me "You wanna know why I broke up with you? Fine! Do you know your father?" I asked and he looked at me confused "You know I don't" He said. "Well, I do. Pretty good actually!" I told him. "What are you talking about?" He asked, more confused than he was before. "It's Ryder Harding" I told him. "Yeah right! That's your dad" He said, not believing me. "It's true! Ryder Harding is your father as well and your mom is Katherine Harper. I remember you never told me her name, but I know it because my father slept with her" I said and he was still looking at me.
"Break up reason enough?" I asked and left him standing alone. "Where were you?" Jesse asked as I sat down next to Jesse again. "Telling Lars the reason I broke up with him" I said and looked at him, while he turned to face me "And that would be?" He asked. "Like I'm gonna tell you. You need to ask Lars, if you want to know" I said and pushed him, then jumped up and went back to my best friends/sisters.
"Oh my god, that's him! That's Cole!" Ronnie said as a black haired boy with many freckles entered the lake side. "He's cute" I said and she looked at me "And mine! I'm gonna talk to him!" Ronnie said and walked off, leaving Evie and I. "Why do you look jealous?" I asked her and I guess I had caught her off guard. "Ehm.." "No Evie, don't tell me you like him too!" I said and she looked at me "I met him first" She defended her feelings. "I know that feels unfair. I was in a similar situation with Jake. He was dating Poppy at the time we met, but they broke up a short time later" I told her.
"But do you really want to fight your sister because of a boy?" I asked her and she sighed "I don't want to piss her off, but I like Cole just as much" She said and hugged her "Just be careful. I wasn't" I said and got up and walked a little. "Hey" I said once I reached a few volleyball playing boys "Mind if I join?" I asked. "No, go head" One of them said. "Those are Peyton, Alden and I'm Alex" He introduced all of them. "Promise and I know Alden already" I said and gave him a smile. "Hey, what are you doing here alone?" He asked. "Not alone, they are just with boys and I'm done with them for now, so I'm playing with you guys" I said.
"You do realize that we are guys too, right?" He asked and I smiled "But I haven't dated anyone of you" "That broke my heart" Alden said. "Hey, it's not like you wanted to be with me, because then you wouldn't have vanished two years ago" I said and he looked at me "Okay, Peyton and I against you and Alex" He said. "Oh it's on!" I said competitive.
Just a short time later we were playing and Alex and I were in the lead.
About an hour later Peyton had already collapsed and Alden joined him. "Guess I'm still better than you" I said, sitting down next to Alden. "I want a rematch!" He said. "Not today. I'm too tired" Peyton whined. "Yeah, I agree with you buddy" Alex said and I laughed "That was nothing!" I laughed.
"How come you aren't tired?" Alex asked. "When I was in London I was hiking more than once and well, I haven't done that much since I came back home, but I was thinking about starting gymnastics" I told them. "Don't do it, you are already competitive enough!" Alden said. "Then I'll do it!" I said, being sure that I wanted to do it.
