(46) I Wish That I Had Jesse's Girl

"PROMISE!"

I woke up through the shouting of Jesse. I opened my eyes and sat up. "My head is killing me" I whined and looked at my boyfriend. I started laughing at the view of him trying to open up those braids.

"You look so ridiculous" I laughed, ignoring my headaches for a moment. "Come here, let me help you" I said and he came over to me and sat down. I pulled out my phone and took a photo of him. "Seriously?!" He asked and I laughed. "Now seriously, come here" I said and he came closer. I started to open up his braids. A few minutes later I was done. "Awe, you look so pretty with curls" I said and his eyes widen.

He grabbed his phone and opened the front camera and looked at himself. "Guess I need a haircut" He said. "No, you just need to use a straightner or wash it" I told him. "And risk that you do it again? No thank you!" He said and went to the bathroom. "I still can't believe you are dating Jesse Ashcroft" Evie said. "Honestly, me neither. I don't get why I didn't fall for him earlier" "You did! You were just in deny about it! Where is he by the way?"

"Washing his hair. I braided it and it was curly this morning. I couldn't resist" I said, feeling a little bad. "I hate to admit it, but you two are kind of cute together" She said and I smiled, maybe blushed a little. "So how about an asprin?" I asked, changing the topic. "I'll get them" She said and walked off. "I think I need a new hair color" Ronnie said and I sighed "Seriously?"

"Of course! I'm sick of the blond hair" Ronnie said. "I like you as a blonde" Cole said. "Exactly my point!" She said "I want to be a new person. I'm going to college soon! In summer to be exact!" "Great, I'll be dating a college girl!" Cole said and she pushed him "Get sober before you talk again" She said and got up, then helped me up.

As soon as my headaches were under control and we had cleaned up Evie and Ronnie's room, Jesse and I started walking home.

PEYTON'S PoV

"I can't believe she dumped me for Jesse!" I said, walking home with Alden, Alex and Lars. "She seems happy" Alden said. "I don't care! She was supposed to be happy with me!" I said upset. "You didn't see them. I have been there the whole journey and even I could tell that they had chemistry!" Lars said. "You're also one of her exes, why defend her!?!" I asked upset. I couldn't believe he was actually taking Promise's side.

"Don't call her that and she is my sister! Blood is thicker than water" He said. "What's that supposed to mean?!" I asked upset. "That I will always side with Prom" He said. "Why?! She is no better than her dad!" "Stop right there! Clare isn't a bitch! She is the greatest girl you will ever meet!" He said defending. "Who the hell is Clare!?" I asked him upset and confused. "That's the point Peyton! You think she's hot and didn't bother to get to know her!" Lars said and walked off.

"Who the hell is Clare?!" I asked and looked at Alex and Alden. "Promise" The both of them said at the same time. "What?!" I asked shocked. "Promise Clarissa Copeland" Both of them said at the same time once again. "Would you stop that!" I yelled at them. "I didn't really date her and knew about that!" Alden said "Imma go" He said and walked away. "Are you leaving me too?!" I asked Alex and he just walked off. "Fine, I don't need you guys to get Jesse's girl! She is mine!" I yelled after them.

PROMISE'S PoV

I had my head on his shoulder and was holding his hand and arm while we walked through the park. "I can't believe we finally made it" I said and he smiled at me "I couldn't be happier" He said and kissed me briefly.

"Hey you two lovebirds" A familiar voice yelled and we turned around. "Alex?" I asked confused. "I need to talk to you two" He said worried. "About what?" Jesse asked, not letting go off my hand. "Peyton is mad. More than mad. He wants Promise back" Alex said and I looked at Jesse, then back at him "What?!" "He's pretty mad that you dumped him for Jesse" He said and I sighed. "I wasn't even in love with him! I wanted to get over Jesse, but gladly I didn't" I said and pulled my boyfriend closer.

"Peyton is pretty mad, so be careful" Alex warned us before he left. "Do you think we should be worried?" I asked him, but he shook his head no "Peyton couldn't hurt a fly. We have nothing to worry about" He said and I sighed.

PEYTON'S PoV

"Hey, wait up! Aren't you Breena?" I asked a short blonde with blue eyes. "Yeah. And you are?" She asked confused. "Oh sorry, Peyton Harris. I'm a friend of your sisters" I introduced myself "Do you want to go out sometimes?" I asked her and she smiled, but looked confused "I guess so" She said with a little hesitation. "Don't worry, I'm not a psycho. Just a guy that thinks you're cute" I said, using my charm.

"Okay, it's a date. How about tomorrow?" She asked. "Sure. How about ice cream? You like ice cream, right?" I asked her. "I do. At 4 at the Riverton?" She asked and I nod smiling. "See you then" She said and walked off with a smile.

I was glad my plan was already working so well. I mean making the girl jealous worked with Jesse, why not for me as well. Using a family member will work even better, no matter which one it was. I'm not sorry about Breena. She just happened to be the first female Copeland to pass my path.
