"I found out before Christmas. My parents took me aside, you remember?" I asked and they nod "That was when you were with Lars, right?" Ronnie asked and I nod "It was. That was the day they found out that I was dating Lars and they were against it" I continued, both of them listening close "Well, they took me aside and told me that I couldn't be with. Not now, not ever" "Why?" Evie asked confused. "Because he is my brother" I told them and they were silent.
"I couldn't believe it and I could tell that they were keeping something from me, so I kept digging and they told me that you two are my sisters as well and that it doesn't end there" "What? How is that possible?" Ronnie asked. "My dad was a player before he was my mom" I told them. "So, we aren't only related to you, but also to Lars?" Evie asked just to be sure. "Not just to Lars I'm afraid" I said and made a short break. "Who else?" Evie asked. "Brandon, Lennon and Cindra" I told them and they looked at me just the way I had looked at my parents that day.
"Lennon and Cindra..." Ronnie said and got up. "Is that the reason you left?" Evie asked and I nod. "I needed to get away and progress everything. Also I couldn't look you guys in the eyes. I couldn't lie to you. Dad told me he would tell you when I'm gone. He didn't.. He lied once again" I said and got up as well. "I'm going to leave you guys to progress it" I said and walked off. The two of them didn't hold me back. They watched me leaving.
I knew it was a lot to take in. It took me months, before I actually could accept it. I walked through the park. "Promise" I suddenly heard someone yell my name, but I couldn't tell who that was. I turned around and saw a redhead running towards me. "Keeley, what's up?" I asked. "You're back" She said happy and I nod "Yeah, but I would love to go back to London. Everything was so much easier than here"
"I believe that, but... that's not what I wanted to talk to you about" She said and we stopped walking "What is it?" I asked and she showed me a book, that looked like a diary with a T on it's cover. "What is that?" I asked her and took it and opened it. "It's my mom's, from when she was our age" She told me and I started reading "She wrote a lot about Olivia. You think it's my mom?" I asked, looking up briefly. "You know enough one?" She asked then pointed out one sentence to me "I'm telling you, I'm gonna take Olivia down and Ryder will be mine" I said, realizing who's diary that was. I looked up and at Keeley "Your mom is Tiffany Ridgewood" I said and she looked at me "Is that bad?" She asked.
"Tiffany is the worst! She tried to ruin my parents relationship, more than once!" I told her and she looked shocked at me "I had no idea!" "She outed my parents in front of the whole town!"
Keeley still couldn't believe what I was telling her. "But why? Why did she hate your mom so much?" She asked and I sighed "Because she had everything Tiffany always wanted" I told her and she didn't seem to know the whole story. "You don't know, do you?" I asked and she shook her head no "My mom. She had a relationship with her dad, while Tiffany's didn't want anything to do with her" I told her. "Why?" She asked. "Because he already had a daughter" I said, hoping she would get it on her own, which didn't happen.
"I'm not following" She said and I sighed "My mom's dad and your mom's dad are one and the same. They are the same person Keeley. Our mom's are sisters" I told her and she looked shocked at me.
In case you couldn't tell already, I was exploding. I had so many secrets to keep that aren't even mine and way to big to keep them to myself, so I was telling one by one. I was done. I didn't wanna lie anymore and I didn't wanna keep secrets anymore! I'm done!
"One thing though, how come your last name is Fitzgerald?" I asked, probably already knowing the answer. "My dad. His last name is Fitzgerald" She told me. "Fabian?" I asked carefully. "Yeah, how did you know?" She asked confused. "He's my mom's ex. He was one of the people that tried to take down Tiffany. How did he end up marrying her?!" I asked confused. "What are you talking about? They met in college!" Keeley said and I looked at her.
"Well, they have been lying to you. They know each other since High School" I told her and she refused to believe me. I ended up taking her to the library, which was open 24/7 in this town and to the yearbook section and got the one out from 2016 and showed it to her.
"My dad" She said confused, but more confused at me. I then showed her a photo of her mom. "No!" She said. She couldn't believe that she has been lied to just as much as I was. "I'm sorry, I know it's not my place to tell you something like that, but you needed to know. I'm so sick of keeping secrets! I hate it! I liked keeping secrets!" I said and stormed off, leaving her behind, like I left Evie and Ronnie this morning.
Wow... First day back in Morrison Creek and it's the worst. I guess you can't just run from your problems, because when you do. They hit you harder when you come back. I'm the best example!
I took a deep breath and pictured Jake. He was my rock and he was calming me down. How bad I needed a hug from him right now, there is no way to describe it right now.
