"What are you so dressed up for?" My mother asked as she entered my room. "I'm going out with Jesse. It's our six month anniversary and he has something planned. No idea what is going on in that crazy head of his, but I hope it's perfect" I said, staring at myself in the mirrror. "Do I look okay?" I asked and she smiled at me "You look perfect" She said and hugged me "Jesse is the luckiest guy on earth" She said and kissed my cheek. "Thanks mom" I said.
Suddenly a car honked outside and I went to the window. A smile grew on my face "It's him" I said and grabbed my jacket from my bed and hurried past my mother down the stairs. "Careful, you don't want to break your neck!" She yelled after me, but I was almost out the door. I smiled while walking towards his car. He was leaning against it and put his hands on my waist as soon as I had reached it. "Hey" He said and kissed me. "Hey" I said and kissed him back. "Can we go?" He asked and I nod. He opened up the car door for me and closed it as well. He then got onto the driver's seat and drove off.
"Where are you taking me?" I asked him. "You'll see" He said and kept driving. "This is Morrison Pavilion" I said as he opened the door of the car. He helped me out and closed the door again. "Oh my god" I said as soon as I saw how the pavilion looked. "You did this?" I asked, looking at him. My face was still doing things that I couldn't control. "It's beautiful" I told him and walked a few steps ahead. He caught up with me fast and lead me the rest to the table.
I sat down and he served the first dish. "A salad? Without any meat?" I asked surprised. "Yes, I wanted to try the Ryder ways" He said and I laughed "Ryder ways?" I asked. "He became vegeterian for your mom and I was thinking worked for them, so I can try it too" He said and I took his hand "You don't have to change for me. I love you for you" I said and gave his hand a squeeze. "Thanks, I don't know if I could survive a day without meat" "And that's why I love" I said and got up. I walked over to him and sat down on his lap and kissed him.
We continued kissing for a while, before we started eating. "Did you make this?" I asked. "No, I can't cook. Not even make a salad. My mum helped out" He said "Or made it completely and helped me set this up" "Well, your mom has taste" I said giggling.
We finished eating, when he suddenly got up and got his phone out. He turned on some music and held his hand out "May I have this dance?" He asked. "Of course" I answered and took his hand. He lead me onto the paved ground and we started slow dancing. "When you go out like this for six months, I don't want to know what you do for our one year or maybe one day engagement" I said. "You can imagine marrying me?" He asked and I nod.
"You are the first guy I can imagine marrying. No other guy loved me like you do and I didn't love another guy like I love you. That has to mean something" I said and he smiled. "It's true. I never loved anyone else but you!" He said and kissed my forehead "And that's why I have something for you" He said and moved away. He came back with a beautiful rose. "I love you Prom" He said and kissed me. I kissed him back. He then handed me the rose, which I immediately smelled. It smelled amazing and fresh.
I was so distracted that I didn't realize that Jesse was taking photos of me.

I smiled and looked at him. "You really need to take pictures of everything?" I asked and he lifted his head "Yes, I don't want to forget one thing" He said and put the camera onto it's tripod and walked over to me. He took the rose and laid it down close to the camera, then walked back to me and took my hands. "Promise, I know you since we were little. I always could tell that you were different, I just thought the wrong different" He started.
"I thought your parents made you different, but then as we grew older I got to know you better and better and I learned that I was wrong. It's not them that makes you different, it's yourself. You are special and you make me smile everytime I look at you and I'm proud that I get to call you my girl. I don't ever want another girl other than you. You are the girl I want to wake up next to every morning and the girl I want to fall asleep next to each and every night. So I'm asking you, Promise Clarissa Copeland, would you make me the happiest guy and..." He said and got onto one knee and held a ring into my direction "become my wife? Will you marry me?" He asked and my eyes widen and I covered my mouth with my hands.
As I slowly progressed what had just happened I felt myself nodding yes and tears started coming out of my eyes. My slow nods turned into a fast nodding pretty fast "Yes!" I finally got out. He got up, put the ring on my finger and then finally kissed me. I wrapped my arms around his neck and refused to loosen it. He wrapped his arms around my waist and deepened the kiss.
I didn't know how long the kiss lasted, but it was the best kiss I have ever had. The one with the most meaning. "I love you Jesse! I love you so much!" I said and laid my head onto his shoulder. "I love you so much Prom" He said, picked me up and twirled me around. This was the happiest moment of my life.
Later that evening we were sitting on the hood of his car, me still not believing I was wearing a ring on my finger. "Your parents will kill me" Jesse said giggling. "Well, my mom became a mom with 17 and I got engaged. Let's wait for what our daughters will do" I said and he kissed my forehead "You want daughters? How many?" He asked. "Two at least, but I wouldn't have anything against a son either. I love having sisters and brothers. They are my best friends, well three of them at least" I said and cuddled into his chest. "What about you?" I asked him. "A daughter would be great as well as a son. I would like both. I wouldn't have anything against twins either" He said and I laughed "I talked to Monica about that and she says having twins is toture, well at least the birth" I told him.
"How so?" He asked. "Well, one birth is totally painful and just imagine going through that pain, hoping it would be over and then it starts all over again for the second one. I don't want to know how much pain that actually is" I said and he grabbed my hand "No matter what will happen, I will always be on your side as your fiancé and husband" He said and I laughed "Im your fianceé. That sounds so weird, but I love it" I said and placed a kiss on his lips.
