"So what exactly are we looking for Tony?" Steve asked Tony as he was looking through all the papers Selvig had filled out in his apartment in London.

"Anything that would have to do with those sticks he's holding in that video, or that might have to do with what happened to y/n." Tony replied as he was looking into files on his computer.

"Sir, Doctor Selvig was studying something called the Convergence. During the Convergence, all of the nine realms are in alignment. This alignment causes the dimensional boundaries between each realm to become thin, resulting in various physical anomalies occurring at random. That would include shifts in gravity, spatial extrusions, and the very fabric of reality possibly tearing apart. Portals will be opened between worlds and for moments, they will be perfectly aligned." Jarvis explained from Tony's phone.

"How does y/n disappearing for all that time fit into all of this?" Steve asked the AI.

"It is possible that she found one of the portals and had disappeared inside of one for the amount of time that she was gone, then somehow found her way back before it closed. That would explain why whatever virus is inside her is not of Earth, but another dimension." Jarvis explained to the two of them.

"Jarvis, where is Selvig now? We're gonna need him if we're going to figure all this out and hopefully help Thor and y/n when they get back." Tony told Steve and the AI.

"Doctor Erik Selvig is currently in the London Psychiatric Ward, about ten miles away." Jarvis responded.

"Well Cap, let's go get us a crazy doctor." Tony told Steve as he made his way to the door.

This is nothing you ever expected to happen when you would come back here. Ships you had never seen before were attacking Asgard and headed straight for the palace. You had ran off to hide with Frigga, she knew whoever was attacking was after you, after the Aether. "Y/n, listen to me, I need you to do everything I tell you, no questions asked." Frigga told you as the two of you walked through the halls.

"Yes grandma." You replied, firmly but frightened. Once the two of you had entered a secret room, she told you to make a double of yourself and to then go lock yourself in another room farther away and that she would take care of the rest. Once you had hid yourself you heard something crash into the room below you. The whole building began to shake and you put your hands over your ears to try and drown out the noise. You hummed the lullabies to yourself, the ones that Loki used to hum for you as a child, in an attempt to calm yourself.

A little bit of time had passed and something didn't feel right. At that moment, you felt your double disappear. You knew that whatever was going to happen next wouldn't be good, that someone had found your grandmother. Going against what to were told, you left the room you were in and ran to where your grandmother was. Unfortunately you were too late, as soon as you made it to the door, you watched a creature stab her from behind and throw her body to the floor. You screamed out in horror as you watched her eyes close and the blood form into pool beneath her. This caught the other creatures attention, when he looked at you, you instantly knew who he was from the stories you were told, Malekith.

He started to make his way toward you, but was stopped when he was struck in the face by lighting. You looked behind you and saw Thor charging in, ready to kill Malekith and the creature with him, but he was too late. By the time his hammer had returned back to him, their ship had vanished and he was left to watch over you and his dead mother until Odin showed up. When he did show, he went straight to Frigga, and you turned to Thor for comfort. Odin looked up at you in disgust, as if it were you who had killed her. Seeing the look he gave you broke your heart even more than it already was, and Thor took you away from the scene and to your room to comfort you.
