Ready?

Tony was in the lab when Jarvis alerted him of Steve and Sam's arrival. He didn't know what to expect when the two of them entered his lab, but he knew he needed to be ready for anything. He knew you weren't with them, but he also had no idea where you were at all now, only allowing him to hope that you had found a safe place for you and Bucky. Tony was pulled from his thoughts when Steve had finally made his way into the lap, cautiously making his way toward Tony with a look that was unreadable. Tony stopped what he was doing and placed what he was working on gently onto the lab table so he could turn all his attention to Steve. "What can I do for you cap?" Tony asked nervously.

"How long were they there?" Steve questions with a deep tone as he stood before his teammate.

Tony let out a heavy sigh before answering, "no longer than a week." He replied, causing Steve's jaw to clench a bit. Tony took notice of his posture and knew he needed to continue. "They needed a safe place to stay until they found somewhere that didn't have any hydra bases around. I had Jarvis handling security so she could use as much of her power as she needed to help Barnes."

"Did you talk to her?" Steve asked, his tone lowering now that he realized Tony was only doing what he felt was right, but he still needed to know more.

"Only once, just to make sure they were doing okay and to give them a map of all the known Hydra bases we found." Tony answered as he went to sit on one of the lap stools, he knew he would be here for awhile with Steve and he was ready to answer any question he had.

Steve let out a heavy sigh before he went to sit across from Tony. "Any idea where they're headed?" Steve asked as he began looking over the map Tony had on the lab table.

"If I knew, I'd tell you. I wanna make sure she's safe just like you do, but she wouldn't tell me, even hacked into Jarvis's system to make it look like she was never there." Tony replied.

"There's no way to retrieve of the security footage from when they were there?" Steve questioned.

"Not that I've been able to figure out. I can't even get Jarvis up and running over there anymore. She knew what she was doing." Tony answered as he ran his hands through his hair, then rested his elbows on the table.

"Any idea when they're coming back?" Steve asked, hoping the answer would be soon. He started to lose hope when he heard Tony let out a heavy sigh once again, he would look anywhere in the lab except at Steve. "Tony, it's not anytime soon, is it?" Steve asked as he shoulders slumped over a bit.

"I'm sorry Steve, the process is going to take a year, maybe longer depending on how well his mind keeps taking to her power." Tony told Steve.

"Did you see how she did it?" Steve asked Tony curiously.

"I only saw her working on him once, it seems like a really emotional process, even for her." He told Steve truthfully.

"But it's working?" Steve asked with a stern voice.

"I know about as much as you do cap, but from what I saw, it's working." Tony told him.

"I'm can't stop looking for them." Steve told him as he went to stand, preparing to leave the lab.

"Steve, you know she told you not to. Why do you keep fighting her when all she's doing is trying to help Barnes?" Tony asked, sounding slightly concerned that Steve was still going to continue his search.

"I need to make sure they're safe Tony, hearing it doesn't do me any good, I need to know that without a doubt, they aren't in any danger. Once we take out the rest of the hydra bases, I'm searching to them again." With that Steve left the lab, leaving Tony to think over what had just happened. He was pulled from his thoughts when Bruce and Thor made there way into the lab with Loki's septer.
