As soon as the question left Bucky's lips, things got a bit heated, which led to the two of you now laying in each other's arms on the bed in your apartment, with a thin sheet to cover the two of you as you cooled off. You couldn't help but feel an eminence amount of comfort now that you were back in his loving arms. Every moment more you spent with Bucky, the more it seemed like the two of you were truly meant for each other, and as you laid there in Bucky's arms with your head resting on his chest, he felt exactly the same.

"So, is it safe to say that your answer is yes?" He asked with a small laugh when he realized you never did give him a verbal answer to his proposal.

"Of course it is, dork." You joked as you gave his side a playful nudge.

"I didn't even get a chance to have you try on the ring." He told you with a smirk as the events played in his had again.

"I was excited!" You defended as you tried to hide the blush creeping up to your cheeks, only to have Bucky look down at you lovingly, as he brushed your hair out of your face and kissed you.

"I love you y/n, and I don't ever want to build my life with anyone else but you." He told you as he finally slipped the ring on your finger. He continued to smile widely when he noticed your eyes still hadn't left his, knowing that it really wouldn't had mattered if he had bought a ring or not, all that mattered was that he loved you and you loved him.

"I love you too Bucky, I always will." You told him as you held his face in your hands and kissed him one more time before finally giving the ring a look. "Oh my god, Bucky." You gasped as you sat up, admiring the rings beauty with as much light as you could. "Bucky, it's gorgeous." You whispered when you felt him sit up next to you, gently rubbing his right hand up and down your bare back.

"I told the lady I needed something as beautiful as you." He whispered as he pulled you a bit closer to him, grabbing your hand with his free one to get a look at the ring now that you were wearing it. "I don't think anything is gonna compare to you though doll." He smiled before giving your temple a quick kiss.

"You're quite the charmer Buck." You joked as you rested your head on his shoulder, humming in content when you felt him pull you even closer again. "It's good to have you back, I think we might actually be closer to finishing your process than we think." You told him with a small smile.

"You really think so?" He asked curiously.

"I do, we've retrieved almost all of your memories, all that's left to do now is make sure you're ready to go back." You told him softly, "but we won't leave until you are."

"Maybe... Maybe we can stay here just a bit longer?" Bucky suggested, thought it was more of a question. "Just the two of us, until I know I won't hurt anyone again."

"You're not going to hurt anyone Bucky, but if you need us to stay longer to prove it to yourself, then we can stay here for as long as you need to." So that's exactly what the two of you did, as time went by Bucky became more and more comfortable with being around the people in the city. After about a year, he had even told you that you could end your cloaking spell, telling you that he now felt safer than he had in years, especially since you were by his side.

All was going well, the two of you had even spent the past month making wedding plans together, ready to begin your new life. Today the two of you were out shopping around at the local food stands, as you did every week. Bucky was buying his plums with you at his side. When the two of you were done, you began walking back to your apartment, but when you looked across the street you noticed a man at the news stand staring Bucky down. You both looked away for a moment, thinking it was just him thinking he looked familiar in some way, but when you looked back he was still staring.
