Telling The Truth

I get to the hotel, I tell them who I'm looking for, the name I believe he's under and who I am.
"We know who you are, Sara" The man at the front desk says and I smile, knowing Lindsey has done this for me once again. "Here's your key and if you need anything, we will connect you"
"Thank you" I get in the elevator and check my reflection in the mirrored doors. It stops at the top and I walk down the long hallway. I knock softly, unsure if he's really in there but I'm told he hasn't left. When he doesn't answer, I do what I know I shouldn't. I use the key and enter the room, praying Kristen isn't here. "Shit" I say as I walk into the living area.
"What the fuck are you doing here?" Kristen shrieks.
"Where's Will? I thought he needed you" I say, my tone of voice dripping with venom.
"He's with my brother, Dave" she smiles and I clench my fists automatically.
"Good, I'm glad he's spending time with him" I say, trying to remain calm.
"Kristen, leave us alone for a minute. Take my card, get yourself something nice" Her eyes light up and I know she's going to max it out but I don't say anything. He kisses her and she stares right at me, leaving moments after.

"So, why'd you come here?" He asks me. There is a deep sadness in his eyes but you wouldn't know that hearing his voice.
"I, I came to talk. I know some things and I think it's important you know too"
"And what is that?" He asks.
"May I sit down, I don't feel very good" His demeanor softens instantly.
"Sure" He pats the seat next to him and I sit down on the front edge of the couch. I feel like I might faint and he puts his arm around me, gently stroking my hair off my face with his hand. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm sorry I just need a minute. I feel like my blood pressure is through the roof or my blood sugar is low...or something"
"We can talk later. You just need to eat something, I can order you a grilled cheese or soup or something before you go, if you want"
"No, no I'm fine. I'd rather talk now and get it over with"
"Even feeling bad, you still look really beautiful" he tells me.
"Thank you" A small smile plays across my lips and he rubs my back. "Um, have you heard anything from Will's doctor?"
"No, but he said he'd call me back today."
"Okay" I say, feeling defeated.
"Why?"
"I called you and Kristen answered. She lied to you about Will being yours. Dave isn't her brother, it's Will's real dad"
"Where are you getting all this? That's my son and he's sick. I poured my heart out to you and you pushed me away again, remember?" He is trying not to yell but I know he's so angry. I can see it and I knew I went about this the wrong way.
"She told me. She said you were in the shower and you guys had been..." I'm getting choked up thinking about it and I'm doing my best not to cry. "In bed, all day long. She told me she sealed the results to buy herself enough time to switch them. You donated blood recently and I had them run a paternity test. That way I know it won't be tampered with"
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" He gets up from the couch, staring down at me with a steel grey gaze. I get up in an attempt to meet his eyes and I see no love in there at all. "Are you trying to kill me? Are you trying to break my heart? Listen, I'm sorry for all I've ever fucking done to you but you're trying to ruin my life again"
"Again?"
"I know that you said I can't see my daughter and that you're going to fight me for full custody. I know your game, princess"
"Wh-what? I've said no such thing!"
"Sure...." Once again his tongue goes to the inside of his cheek and he's trying so hard not to say something he will regret.
"Please don't do that. I love you, I don't want to hurt you. I'm just telling you the truth. She told me herself."
"Leave, Steph."
"No, baby, please listen to me" I beg, touching his face with my hand. My long red nails are contrasting with his blue crystalline eyes and I start to cry. "Let me say what I need to say and I swear to God, if you really want me to leave, I will never bother you again. If you want Aria, I will send someone with her. You will never have to see me, even for a second." he nods, letting me continue. "Who told you, you couldn't see our daughter?"
"Just someone. You called and told them so"
"Was it Kristen?" He looks away from my eyes. "Was it? Be honest with me"
"Yes" he says softly. I nod and take my hand away from his skin when all the blue from his eyes disappears and they're grey again.
"I guess that's it. I'm sorry to have hurt you so much. I love you with everything I have. I will have Karen discuss visitation with you because it will be a little different going down the line. I want both of our children to know you. You're an amazing man, Lindsey." I tell him and turn to leave, tears streaming down my face.
He mouths the words I just said to him until he notices I'm gone. At first, I walk but then I run as fast as I can in heels to the elevator. I sink to the floor with my knees to my chest and cry, waiting to reach the bottom. I drop the key at the customer service desk and leave.

"Where is she?" Lindsey asks reaching the desk, wild-eyed.
"She?"
"Stev--Sara?"
"She left, sir and she looked very upset"
"I have to talk to her" he tells he man.
"Where are you going?" Kristen asks, bumping into him with her bags as she enters the large entrance to the hotel lobby.
"Stay the fuck away from me. I know everything!"
"You believe the lies of a fat, old, ugly witch like her? Go ahead. You will be begging to come back" she says heading to the elevator to go back up to the suite.
"Pack your shit and get out of that room or I'm calling security. I will be calling to make sure you are gone. Don't test me, little girl" he says through gritted teeth, pointing his finger in her face.
