Heartbreaker

Chapter Thirty- Two

I stopped staring at the brother emotions making my body freeze. I looked at Henry who was struggling to keep his eyes open, his hands stressed against the wall. Brother Christopher let go letting Henry drop to the floor, gasping for air. I rushed to him the sudden feeling of stiffness left my body as if lifted. I crouched beside him, my heart feeling as If it  would pop out of my chest. Henry looked at me as he caught his breath. I looked at him hoping that he wouldn't pass out or anything, because that's happened all week. Brother Christopher looked down at him, showing no emotion at all.

''this has never happened before I will have to take him to the council-'' he started until I cut in. ''no you won't after what I just saw, you can't'' I lunged at him, but deflected my block throwing me across the room. I hit my head on fridge making everything spin. I sat up trying to get up. ''Do that again an I will not be responsible for my actions'' he said his darkened words reminding me of a dark over lord. my legs wobbled under my weight. ''please let me take him to the Council Hall and we can suppress the issue'' he said as if pleading.

I wiped the blood off my forehead, leaving a scarlet streak across my hand. ''fine I have to come to'' I said feeling a heavy pain on my chest. Harvey grabbed me by the wrist. ''what are you doing'' he said gently. I stared at him his curly brown hair curled under his hat. ''I don't know I just can't let him take henry'' I said choking on my words as my tears tried breaking trough their cage. ''your going to get yourself killed'' he said tightening his grasp. he looked sad, which was new.  Harvey was always protecting me and Tommy from everything, I've never seen him sad, even when his mom left home not telling them or anything. he was always there for Tommy.

''Valerie you don't have to'' Henry startled me, I looked at him. trying to get up from his place. he was leaning on the counter to support himself. ''yes I do'' I said almost leaving Harvey's hands. ''if this Council hall place is all that bad then I don't want you there with me'' Henry winced as he said those words. out of nowhere this fury seeped into my blood. ''no your not going there alone ok, it's my fault your here and I'm not letting you go there alone got that so, even if you try to leave me behind I'm still going'' I screamed tears breaking from there barriers. henry stared at me, I could see in his eyes, pain, fear, anger and sadness. '' we'll go as guidance for him, since he has just found out about us'' Tommy spoke. I forgot she was here. I stared at her, she tried smiling at me. '' Alright be there Wednesday'' Brother Christopher who was so silent left. That must have been awkward for him. Harvey let go my wrist and I went flying to henry. I hugged him, but he didn't hug with the same tenderness before. I looked at him. ''I don't want you to get hurt Valerie, why do you have to be so stubborn''.
