Ch. 2: Team Theta

They all walked in to the building. It looked bigger on the inside than outside. There were doors on either side of a counter going to a back room, next to the doors were stairs that led up. Chris looked around to see a group of people sitting at a table in the top left corner. He was positive they were a team. He then looked ahead of him to see a counter. He walked up to it, along with the others, but none of them said anything. Chris saw a bell and tapped the top as a ringing noise echoed through the quiet halls.

"Coming! Just one second!" A female voice said from a room behind the counter. Suddenly the only thing that was heard was a crash followed by a long, annoyed sigh. A lady with long blonde hair that reached her elbows walked out, she had dark green eyes. A blue and white dress with no sleeves, a heart necklace and some bracelets around her wrist. "Hello! How may I help you all!" She obviously forced a smile.

"Is everything ok back there?" Sora asked.

"Of course! Everything is A-ok!" The lady said.

"Right," Chris continued, "We are here to form a team!"

"A team? Protector Team?" She asked.

"Yup!" James yelled before anyone else could.

"Right, well take a seat, I'll get the head master!" She handed them a paper before excitedly running off into the back.

The five took a seat and glanced at the paper that had the Title "Pick a Name". They were strange words, but some were crossed out and unable to read. The readable items on the list read:
Beta
Theta
Iota
Mu
Nu
Omega
Pi
Rho
Phi
Chi

"Alright! Team name!" Chris said.

"Lets pick Rho!" Emily suggested.

"What about Pi? Everybody loves pie!" James said.

"How about Beta?" Sora asked.

"Iota." Amber said.

"Alright. Well nobody likes any of the same names. So how about we choose something nobody picked?" Chris asked them.

"How about a Nu." Emily snickered. "Ah? Ah? Oh come on it was a joke!"

Everybody had a straight, not impressed face, besides James, he laughed. "That was good." He said.

Emily gave a big smile. Chris then looked through the list. "How about Theta?"

Sora smiled. "I like it."

"Rolls off the tongue, kinda" James stated.

"Alright." Amber smiled slightly.

"Let's do it!" Emily yelled.

"Then Theta it is!"

Footsteps were heard. "So you want to join my clan?" A man asked.

They all looked at him. "Of cour-" James changed, putting on a cool guy look. "Psh, sure if you want us."

"It seems you are thrilled to be apart of my cause. I accept you, and all one team I am assuming?"

"Yes sir." Chris said.

"Don't call me sir, I am not your leader, call me Clark."

"Of course si- Clark."

"Now, you're going to be Team Theta?"

"Yes."

"And i assume you're the leader?"

"Well I uh-"

"Yes, he is." James said before smiling at him.

"And your names?"

"Chris Vekker."

"Amber Sankly."

"James Paul."

"Sora Inferno."

"Emily Roooooooooose!" Emily did a spin and flickered jazz hands.

"Right." Clark smiled and turned to the counter lady. "Harper, add them in."

"Of course!" The blonde smiled and pulled out a tablet.

"Now, time to show me your individual skills." Clark said.
