i like to see your smile.

i'd love to be the one that makes you smile one day.

because that would just mean something big,

that i've been acknowledged,

maybe not as a chance,

but as a friend,

who got to make her crush smile.

"Hey, Mae, are you playing in the volleyball tournament?" Jasper asked as the seniors were playing against the juniors in the gymnasium.

"Nope. I just feel like watching. You?" she asked.

"Yeah, maybe." He continued to watch the game as she softly conversed with her friends next to her and behind her. Her cheeks were hot and her friends continued to tease her about sitting near Jasper and have a conversation with him. After all, she got too nervous to talk to him most of the time. When the seniors won, all the guys in her class were called down to the gym floor and were versing the juniors in the next game for the tournament.

"Mae, cheer for me, okay?" Jasper yelled when he was on the floor. Mae gave him a small smile and cupped her mouth with her hands, getting ready to cheer.

"You got this!" she yelled loudly as the guys began to play. Even though their athletic ability wasn't the greatest, they had still managed to have a fun game, and Mae enjoyed cheering for him the whole time.

"Aww, that was a waste," Jasper said as he tiredly lay on the bleachers.

"Naw, it wasn't. You had fun, didn't you?" Mae asked, to which his eyebrows perked up.

"Yeah, I guess so. It was pretty fun playing with the guys."

"Sorry, my cheers didn't do much."

"The cheers didn't matter though. At least you were watching us. Everyone in the class was and I guess that's all we wanted. Even though we didn't win," he murmured with a shrug and wore his black jacket.

"Yeah," she whispered as they walked outside. She gave him a sort-of hug (which was more like a fist-bump/handshake/hug thing) and they both left with their friends on their separate ways.

But this Christmas, they seemed to be a little closer. After all, it's the most wonderful time of the year.

lmao ik this chapter was really bad

i didn't know what to write the chapter about and irl minhee was telling me to update for once so i just wrote about what happened yesterday. it's not my best, i agree with that.

however, today, i did experience a little bit of something, i guess? so first, it was when he was selling candy and stuff and i handed him a $5 bill AND I TOUCHED HIS HANDS AND THEY'RE REALLY SOFT (i don't have a hand fetish)...and then there was the volleyball tournament, right, which i described above in the chapter. but while he wasn't playing, he was sitting right in front of me on the bleachers and he kept moving around and my knees were sort of pressing into his back but he wasn't saying anything so i hope he was okay with it. but also like i was really close to him and i was freaking out and minhee knew it too (and was making fun of me for it). also he turned around to talk to me while alex was playing some game on his phone and i have to point out that jasper smells really nice (but i didn't sniff him or anything. it's like when people are near you and you just get a small whiff of their cologne)

wow i'm really weird sorry lol

but yeah, that was what happened today. ALSO DID I MENTION HE LOOKS REALLY GOOD IN EITHER MAROON AOR HIS BLACK JACKET AND HE WORE BOTH OF THEM WHICH LITERALLY KILLED ME

i'm not going to see him for a week and irl i didn't give him a hug and i guess i sort of regret it now but idk actually...like i really want to give him a hug ALL THE DAMN TIME but it looks awkward and would arise suspicion among my classmates that don't know about my hopeless crush so i'd rather not do that...besides he would be weirded out by me??

idk if anyone actually reads the notes i have at the end lol

okay anyways.

merry christmas (and a happy new year),

daze
