"Tonight was a complete disaster." I said to Halle. She nodded her head while scooping the rest of her yogurt.
"Well, did you try and talk to him?" Halle ask. It surprised me that she actually asked that, since she disliked Francisco.
Halle fixed her computer so, I could look at her forward rather than an angle. I shook my head at her question.
"I don't even think he's home to be completely honest. He might've went back to the hospital to be with his mother." I said, feeling my phone vibrate.
Francisco: I am going somewhere. Don't leave the apartment or answer the door anyone. Be home late tonight or tomorrow morning.
"What's the text?" Halle asked.
"He just said he's going somewhere. He's always keeping it a secret where he is going. Like why can't he just be honest." I answer.
"On the subject of secrets. Are you ever going to tell me about the parents thing?" Halle ask.
"No, it's so embarrassing." I answer.
"Come on, I have been your flipping friend since seventh grade. Not only that, but I was there when you had your period and forget to pack your pad." Halle replies. I sighed. I had to tell someone, it's been eating me up inside.
"Is any of the guys in your room?" I ask. Halle shook her head as I brought the laptop to the ledge of my window. "Well, I've been worried for the past three months. Because I am the daughter of the leader of the Russian mafia."
"You're joking right?" Halle said chuckling.
"No, I am not. Halle this is not something to laugh at. As it doesn't seem realistic, but I am the daughter of him." I reply. Halle lost her laughter.
"How do you know?" Halle ask.
"When Francisco and I went to go visit my mom. She told me that I am the daughter. Showing me a picture. But I couldn't tell Francisco. Because she would disown me." I answer.
"He's going to find out, I know you let out the truth to someone you like. Remember Ryan from eighth grade. You wanted to keep it a secret that you put a cricket into his cookies. But ended up telling him." Halle replies.
"This is much different. My own biological father who I thought was dead. Killed Francisco's own dad in front of him at the age of thirteen." I said. Halle signed.
"I have a couple suggestions for you. You either just tell him or something worse is going to happen. Either way if the truth comes out. Francisco won't be happy. But if you told him. He wouldn't be so upset." Halle replies tucking her hair behind her ear.
"I will just wait it out. He won't find out. I will prevent that from happening. Because he's not going to find out." I said.
Francisco
Next Morning"I came to visit, not because of last night. But your mother was in pain. I know we might not be on the best terms, but come on Francisco. Three years ago she were fine." Adina said.
"Fine, but this doesn't mean you're permanently staying here." I reply sternly, more annoyance.
"You need to know something important about Sage. She is not who you think she is." Adina says.
"Adina, I don't need to listen to your fucking lies. Now go visit my mother and you are out of here. Understand?" I spat.
"But Fran-" Adina was going to continue but I didn't want to listen to this,
"No Adina." I reply.
Adina rolls her eyes before entering the room. I heard heels clicking across the floor. From a far I see Melanie and Addison.
"Someone's in the waiting room?" Melanie ask. I nodded.
"Adina, I hate to admit. I didn't want to make a big deal because of the nurses." I answer.
"That freaking girl, she's insane." Addison replies. I nodded my head.
"Well, what did the doctors say?" Melanie ask as I looked towards the door, turning back around.
"She's worsening. But when I asked her, she felt no pain." I answer.
"She is not going to live any longer. Because it's slowly worsening. She just can't tell. As much as it sounds bitter and you're in denial. Sometimes you don't want to hear the bad things. But it will leads into better things." Melanie replies. I frowned at her response.
"Well I have to go back home. But tell Adina to leave once she's done. Please text me any other news." I said.
Melanie nods. She embraces me. She lets go. Walking with Addison to the room. I frowned at that. We both walked away in the different directions.

Entering the penthouse. I shut the door behind me. Walking over to the counter to find a note that was set like a tent. Went out to grab some breakfast in the lobby. Since you had none in the fridge.
I hurried over to my bedroom, walking in to my room. Opening up my closet. I found a white Calvin Klein tee shirt with some black ripped jeans.
Placing on my old skool vans. Hurrying into the bathroom to brush my teeth. Once I was done getting ready. Grabbing my phone putting it into my back pocket.
Once I reached the lobby. I spotted Sage eating something in bowl. My first reaction was to give her lecture. But I was out for the night. I sat down in front of her.
"It was funny, I saw you walking through the lobby in a rush. Good thing I left the note." Sage said.
"Well, I had to go do somethings before coming to look for you." I reply.
"Good Morning Mr Mendes, what would you like to order?" The man in a vest came up asking.
"A fruit salad would be good." I answer. Sage had ordered that as I could see from the top view of it.
"The order should be out soon." He replies walking away with his small notepad.
"Coping much?" Sage ask chuckling. I laugh at her comment.
