"I don't even know you persuaded Francisco into letting you go. He's the most protective man." Halle says putting the cut up strawberries in her mouth.
"I have my ways with my words." I reply putting my small purse on my shoulders.
"Well, don't be out for long. Or I might just kill myself. Francisco will be the death of me." Halle says.
I rolled my eyes at her. Knowing that she wouldn't do such a thing, unless he did something that pushed her to the point.
"You will survive. Anyways I gotta go." I acknowledge her. I walk over to the railing of the stairs.
"Tristan! Let's go!" I call.
"Alright, I just had to grab some money from my backpack. It was all scattered around." Tristan replies bouncing up the stairs.
I started walking towards the door as Tristan places his wallet into his back pocket. Noticing in the corner of my eye. I see Halle throwing something away.
"You two, have fun not too much fun." Halle advises us.
"Promise." Tristan replies.
We both walked out the door. Tristan pulls out the key to the nice BMW that Martinez let him use. I get into the passenger seat. Tonight I hope everything went slow.
Because tomorrow Tristan will not be here anymore. Shutting the car door. Tristan did the same and we nearly put our seatbelt on at the same time.
"You excited for Africa?" I ask.
"Yes, I can't wait to help the kids. Since it's hard for them over there." Tristan answers. I smiled at him. He puts the key into the ignition. "But let's not worry about them tonight. Tonight it's just about you and I."
"Yes, it is." I reply smiling.

"We are here." Tristan says.
I looked up at the large carnival. It was like Santa Monica's carnival. Tristan takes the key out and releases his seatbelt. I smiled at the view.
"It's reminds me of Santa Monica." I reply. Tristan nods putting his seatbelt in the resting position.
"That's why I brought you here." Tristan says. Me being too happy at the moment. I couldn't keep a smile off my face.
"Well what are we waiting for, let's go." I say getting out the car. I shut the door. After waiting. I hear Tristan do the same. We headed towards the booth where they were selling tickets.
Francisco
"Where's Matthias?" I ask leaning into the Martinez's office doorway.
"He said he went to go visit his grandmother for a couple of days." Martinez answers with not even a slight tone of concern.
"That's quite the excuse. He's been gone for quite sometime." I reply.
"What do you think he's doing then?" Martinez ask. I rolled my eyes at the question.
"Nobody in the estate has left for about a week and a half. The only members who have been excused are Lee and Dakota. Who knows where they even went." I answer. Martinez sits up.
"Are you being paranoid because Sage is actually on her own for once? She has Tristan with her. He doesn't know about the mafia stuff. The Russians don't even know where that carnival is. She will be fine, Francisco." Martinez replies.
"No I am not. I'm just worried that one of the members we hired are betraying us. That's what we risk when we hire new members." I said.
"I'll deal with that if that's the case. Jo, Tom, you, and I will." Martinez replies.
"Well, I know it's been a while. But when I was with Sage, after taking her to meet Isabeli. Isabeli said that when she dies. Sage will be the main leader. Even though that's far from now. That seem like something to much for her." I said taking a seat in the office chair.
"When that time comes, maybe Sage will give leadership to you. Since she trust you more than anyone else." Martinez replies.
Sage
"The pizza here is so good. I haven't had a stuffed crust in forever. Or what seemed to be forever." I say. Tristan smiles, he picks up the napkin wiping his face.
"Well, before we leave. I want to ride the Ferris wheel with you and talk to you about everything we can. Before I leave." Tristan replies throwing his paper plate into the garbage can.
"Yes, that sounds good." I said throwing my plate away finishing up the last of the pizza in my mouth.
Tristan reaches into his pocket, pulling out the two last of our tickets. Perfect for the last thing we are gonna do. We both walked over to the Ferris wheel.
"It's been fun having you around." I say. Tristan chuckles.
"I guess I am just a fun person." Tristan replies. "But I will miss you too."
After we got onto the Ferris wheel. I decided to tell Tristan about the mafia thing since I haven't been completely honest towards him as he was to me.
"Listen, there's something I've been keeping a secret from you. Now don't freak out. Since I've been with them for about two and half months now." I say.
"Continue." Tristan replies sternly.
"Francisco, Martinez, Jo, and every other guy who lives in that house is a mafia member." I said quietly.
"That big news. Why do you have to live with them?" Tristan ask. I knew he was trying to stay calm about it.
"My mother is the owner of it. They want to protect me from this other one. But please don't tell anyone or think of me differently. Because I am still Sage. I am not a member." I answer.
"Don't worry, I won't think of you differently." Tristan replies. I shook my arms in happiness and gave him a huge smile.

Hey everyone! I know this chapter has been really boring. My serious explanation for why it's been boring and why Tristan hasn't shown up as much than the first drafts or publishes.
1. I cannot write a carnival-typed-book-for-my-life.
2. Last year I was a serious Jack Gilinsky fan girl, which means it was much more smooth to type it. But not anymore.Anyways after next chapter. There's going to be a huge jump. But next chapter will be better than this. Thanks for reading.
