Francisco

From the distance I spotted Sage. She was clinging on for her life on the ice. I ran towards her. Still keeping a watch on her. She suddenly disappeared, being submerged under the water.

Instead of stopping, I continued running. I had to find Sage, even if it meant risking my own life for her or potentially drowning.

"Francisco what are you doing?" Rafael called out from the distance. I turned to face him. I didn't have any time to respond. I needed to just grab and go.

I stepped on the ice, carefully. The whole seemed much further than it did, looking at it from afar. Finally reaching the gap. It was large than I expected it to be. I dive into the water.

Using the sun as my light resource. I see Sage's body floating around in the water. With a trail of red around her. I swim over to her. Grabbing her. Afterwards, I had to search for that gap in the water.

Luckily, my eyes saw it before my mind could process it. As I reached the surface. I pushed Sage's body on the surface. Noticing Rafael's shadow, pulling Sage away from the ice. I pulled myself up. Climbing out of the freezing water.

My teeth chartered against the cold. I stood up and walked over towards Rafael. I spotted from afar, Dakota and Lee making their way down the small snow hills.

"She's been either shot or stabbed. I can't tell for sure, since there's too much blood." Rafael said glancing at the bloody wound on her abdomen.

"We will alarm Martinez and the others to get paramedics." Dakota replies. I see one of them pull out the walkie-talkie. I put my finger down on the side of her neck. There was no pulse.

"There's no pulse." I said. Rafael's eyes widened and kneeled down besides her body. Placing his finger on the side of neck.

"That's impossible. She couldn't have been under the water for too long. She was just fine when she came out of the water." Rafael replies.

"Martinez is on the way." Dakota called out. I nodded my head. "He also has Nikolay and Marco with him."

"Let him know, we aren't gonna kill them off, not yet at least." I said, trying to calm myself down, before making assumptions that Sage is dead.

"Do you think she's? Dead?" Rafael questions.

"What the hell Rafael! I don't fucking know." I answer, but in a angered way. I panicked. Would if the Sage I saw trying to climb out of the water, ten minutes ago. Never came back.

"Francisco. It's just a question." Rafael said.

"Yeah, but it's not helping the situation." I reply. "Maybe she fell into a coma or something. I don't know. I just don't want to her to be gone."

"I heard from Halle that you and Sage got into an argument last night." Rafael brings up.

"Yeah, we did." I reply.

"Did you know she came out here?" Rafael ask.

"Yeah, she wanted to tell me that, she loves me. She did. But I never got to say it back." I answer. "Well technically I did, but in Spanish."

Rafael chuckles.

"I think the right thing to do when Sage comes back. Is to apologize for what happened. It might hurt, but she needs to know that you are okay with her going and of course you support her." Rafael suggested.

"I guess you are right." I reply, knowing Sage would probably be happy that I agreed to Rafael, even though I was not fawn of him.

Almost nearly five hours after our mission was nearly a success and we finally got Marco and Nikolay. Then, waiting at the hospital for the surgery to happen. The receptionist came out and told Rafael, Halle, and I could come in.

But the not so bright news afterwards, was that Sage had fell into a coma. Good new is, she wasn't dead, but lost plenty of blood. After being shot in the abdomen. Must've been Adina, after they both fell into the water.

"That's good, at least she's not dead." Halle said. Trying to brighten the mood.

"Yeah, well I will have sign your names on here. Just advising other visitors if they want to visit and acknowledge them that you are here." The woman says grabbing a clipboard with a new fresh sheet of paper on it.

At the top was Sage's personal information. I grabbed the pen attached to the clipboard. Writing down my name, next was Rafael, and finally Halle. The woman set the clipboard behind her desk and allowed us to follow her.

"I hope she's okay." Halle said.

"They said she's fine." I reply.

"Well, I don't know what happened. Martinez told Sofia, Valeria, Jazz, and I, that we couldn't leave the house and made it seem like nobody was home." Halle replies.

"At least all of you are okay." I positively said.

"Yeah." Halle says.

The receptionist leads us into the room. It was dim and the faint sound of the tv was preventing the room from being dead silent. I see Sage lying on the bed. With her eyes shut and in a hospital gown.

I turned to my left. Noticing a whiteboard filled with information. My eyes dragged across the information. Not of a sign of waking up. There was a pulse. Bullet was removed from abdomen. Lots of a blood loss. And after that news, there was no more.

I shut my eyes in relief that she was okay. I am glad that things didn't turn for the worse. I turned around to looked at Sage. She looked really pale and sick. But it must've just been from her losing blood.

"At least she's okay, right?" Rafael says taking a seat on the chair.

"Yeah, I guess." I reply.

Nearly after an hour. Rafael, Halle, and I headed back to the estate. Just praying that in a couple of days she would eventually wake up.

Hopefully.
