Two Days Later

Looking at Francisco as he embraces his two sisters who were in tears after they went over to look at their mother in the casket.

"At least she's out her pain now. I can't believe this just happened out of the blue." Sofia said besides me.

"I hated most, that I was the last person to talk to her instead of Francisco or Addison and Melanie. Why me?" I ask.

"Maybe it's a good sign. You can't be down about that all the time. I would take that as a great thing." Sofia answers.

"I don't think so, I think it's bad luck." I reply. The front doors open to reveal Isabeli and Martinez. She walks over towards the casket rather than even say hello.

She turns around after a couple minutes after talking to Francisco. Walking towards me. Not a single smile was on her face. Sofia immediately walked off towards Martinez.

"You didn't tell anyone did you?" She ask. I shook my head. "Good." She begin to walk away. I didn't even want to consider her my mother.

"Why does it matter? They're like apart of your family and this secret is going to get loose wether you like it or not." I confronted her.

"Because, I am trying to keep this mafia in order. You're not going to ruin it." She said pulling me towards her with my face in her grip.

"Fine." I reply.

She walks off. I was not going to keep my promise. Tomorrow Francisco was going to find out. Even if it meant that our friendship or anything we had would end.

I walked over towards Francisco and his sisters. Knowing tampering would not be the right option. But I wanted to comfort them.

Melanie had her arm around Addison. As they continuously were crying. Francisco turned to me to look at me. He gave me a frail smile.

"I am sorry this happened. I feel horrible for being the last person to ever speak to her." I said staring down at my heels.

"Sage, don't feel bad. You're the perfect girl to talk to her. I am glad you did." Francisco replies in a cold sad type of voice.

A women in a black dress comes around giving each and every one of us a small wax candle with a lit fire. Once we all had one, we begin to surround each other.

"To the most beautiful women, willing wife, caring mother, we want to let her Rest In Peace. She had an amazing life." Melanie said raising hers. As we all followed along.

After the day of the funeral, we had all went out to this sushi place. Francisco wanted to sit with just his two sisters as they all mourned their mother's death.

I finally met Dakota and he was like Francisco in a mafia way, but his personality was like Jo. Dakota, Rafael, and Liam sat at another table.

Jo and Halle sat at another one. I sat at a table with Martinez, Tom, Lee, and Sofia. It was a bit awkward between among us. Except after Tom started the conversation we were on our way.

I would turn to look at Francisco's table. They didn't look too happy about something. Francisco ran his fingers through his hair distressfully.

"Listen guys. I haven't been completely honest with you. But I need to tell you guys something and could you give me the advice wether I should tell Francisco or not." I said.

Martinez's eyes widened at my sentence. He set down his fork. Swallowing his food.

"Um, sure what is it?" He asked.

"Isabeli told me three months back that the Russian mafia leader is my father. She showed me a picture and told me not to tell. I've kept this secret too long." I answer. There faces changed.

"That's a surpriser. But I'm not one who you should worry about. Francisco is one you need to worry about but I do think you should either tell him tomorrow or tonight. He's not going to take it so simple. But I will convince him." Martinez explains.

"Thank you Martinez." I said.

"You're welcome." He said confidently.

Francisco

I pulled out my wallet and setting down the five dollars. Getting off the chair over to the table where Sage was sitting at.

"Okay, Sage lets go." I said pulling on her wrist. She looked at me in confusion at first, but got up grabbing her small black purse.

I heard her shoes as she clicked across the floor. Once we got out of the restaurant. Pulling the keys from my pocket. Unlocking the BMW, while my Mercedes was out getting fixed

She got into the car. I get into the drivers seat. Putting the key into the ignition. Sage didn't say a word, something was right.

"We are heading back to the estate right?" Sage ask turning towards me.

"No, we are just going to go to my apartment here." I answer.

"Oh." Sage said nodding her head.

"Something wrong with that?" I ask.

"No nothing at all. Please don't worry about anything. I know you're stressed as it is now." Sage answers softly.

The whole ride home was silent. Sage rarely looked at me or talked to me the ride of home. Entering the apartment. It was dim and dark outside.

"It feels like it's been too long since I've been here." Sage says walking up the stairs.

"Yea, too long." I reply walking off to my room. Unbuttoning my button shirt. I got into my bathroom. Turning the handle, getting ready for a shower.

I was not prepared to go to sleep a night thinking of my mother. I had to end this stress and worry. Or else this would eat me up inside.

Entering into the shower. It felt good having the warm water hit against me. But I still I couldn't get it out of my mind. She didn't even care that she got cancer. She knew it was coming. I couldn't stop.
