There he was, strutting down the corridors with his shirt untucked, the ends visible under his jumper and his tie loosely done. Nobody denied the fact he was irresistible, but they knew his reputation, and that kept them away most of the time.

William "Bill" Weasley was Hogwart's player, known for his alluring looks, luscious ginger hair and his blinding smile. Also well-known was his exceptional talent to swoon girls. His fellow Gryffindor friends had lost count of how many girlfriends he'd had, and how many different girls he'd taken out on a date.

However, if you got to know him, he was funny, caring and friendly. Aside the fact he was a literal magnet to the opposite gender, he was probably the best student of his year and was always kind enough to help younger students with their homework if they asked.

Then there was Maegan Waters, Gryffindor's shy bookworm who only occasionally spoke to others outside of her friend group. She was stunning with her long dark brown hair, multicoloured eyes and gorgeous personality, yet didn't show it off like other girls did.

She was a year below Bill, and had never really spoken to him except the one or two times they'd said hi when they passed each other in the common room. He had dated her best friend for three months before he had broken her heart, and this has caused Maegan to be cautious of the ginger, and so to avoid him.

During her fourth year, a few months after he'd broken up with her best friend, Charlotte, Bill had laid his eyes on Maegan and tried to charm her the way he'd charmed so many other girls, but she'd flipped him off and ignored him.

Now, during his last year at Hogwarts, he had been trying to catch her attention ever since the start of school, but she seemed to avoid him like the plague.

Bill was just thinking about her as he made his way towards the library and he randomly bumped into someone when he turned the corner. Books and pieces of parchment fell out of the girl's arms, and he quickly crouched down to gather them.

"Sorry about that." He said, before looked up and found himself staring at Maegan. "It's alright." Maegan rushed out her words, blushing slightly and Bill smirked as he handed her her books as he stood up.

He grinned at her, not moving as to let her pass and she cleared her throat, blushing a light shade of red. "You look beautiful today." Bill smiled at her, and Maegan's cheeks darkened as she awkwardly laughed.

She quickly recomposed herself, remembering that this was her best friend's ex and the school's biggest player. "Uh, sure. Can I pass, please?"

Bill smiled, and nodded. "Course. Have a good day." He smiled, and walked away towards the library, where he sat and studied for a while.

He finished all his homework and then went back to the common room, where he found Maegan and Charlotte sitting on the couches while reading. "No classes today?" Bill asked as he stood behind the couch, grasping their attention.

Maegan flipped her head around, smiling a little and shook her head. "Free period. How about you?"

Charlotte sent her a look, and Maegan shrugged. "He asked, Char. Can't deny him an answer." She replied, and Bill grinned inwardly. It was working, a little bit.

"Alright then. I'm going to go." Charlotte said, and Bill resisted the urge to roll his eyes. This was one of the reasons he broke up with her - if something wasn't to her liking, she wouldn't accept that somebody else would prefer it. "I've got a free period too." Bill said, walking around the couch only to sit at the far end away from her.

Maegan nodded, closing her book as she smiled. "You've got a busy schedule, don't you?"

"Yeah." Bill chuckled. "Not that I mind, 't keeps me busy."
