Rachel's POV:
I woke up the next morning, my head pounding. I sat up on my bed and looked at the door. I placed my hand on my head and looked down at the floor."You threw a book at me?" I groaned with a hint of anger
"How else was I supposed to wake you up?" Logan shrugged with a smirk following after.
My brothers are too much alike.I glared at him before getting up to go to the bathroom. I did my morning routine and went back to my closet.
"All my jeans are dirty.. I really need to get laundry done." I told myself as I grabbed a black skater skirt and a long sleeved white shirt with the words "Coffee Please" printed on them. I put them on my usual white converse since I couldn't find any shoes that would match.
I brushed my hair and grabbed a couple stands of front hair and tied them around the back of my head, almost like a crown. I added concealer and mascara. My eyes were beginning to hurt a little from squinting, so I put in my contacts. Yea I wear glasses, but only at home because I don't like the way I look.
I walked downstairs checking the time. 7:41 AM. I didn't have to leave for another 9 minutes. I came to the central island and sat down, grabbing a banana. It was quiet here, no two big airheads arguing or anything. Where were Logan and Ethan?
I walked over to the fridge and noticed a sticky note hanging from the fridge door. I pulled it off the fridge. "Hey baby sis, I had to go to work early today and Ethan's at college so we can't take you. Sorry." I put the note on the counter of the central island and walked over to the couch where I had tossed my phone previously. I guess I could ask Jacqueline for a ride. I dialed her number, she picked up on the second ring.
"Hello?" she spoke.
"Jackie, can you give me a ride today?" I asked as I walked back to the kitchen.
"Sorry Rach I'm already at school. We had a yearbook meeting at 7:30 today." I could hear the guilt in her voice for 'letting me down'.
"It's cool I'll walk today. Maybe I'll be late stop by the corner store to grab chips for lunch.
What do you want?" I planned my small trip.
"Cheese doodles, and DON'T BE LATE!" Jackie nearly screamed through the phone.
"JACKIE! My ears are ringing!" I shout back before laughing.
I hear her laugh as well and we hang up. I grabbed my bag from the kitchen floor and made my way out of the house. I was already going to be late I might as well get some food in the process. After five minutes of walking I reached the corner store. It's a very long block that I live on.
I entered the store and walked around to the chip area and grabbed cheese doodles and buttered popcorn. I grabbed a couple of brownies and a zebra cake. I then made my way to the fridges, struggling to keep everything from falling. I struggled to open the fridge door but managed. I spotted a lemon tea Arizona on the top shelf.
I attempted to grab everything in my hands with my left arm so I could grab the Arizona with my right. I went on my tip-toes and tried to grab for the Arizona. I felt the cold can touch the tip of my fingers, but the more I grabbed for it the more I pushed it further back.
"Here" I heard a voice say from behind me, startling me.
A rather muscular arm reaches for the can and brings it down. I turn to come face to face with Kaiden. He hands me the can.
"Thank you" I state awkwardly.
"No problem" he states awkwardly as well.
I walked away from the fridge area, hoping to get rid of the awkward feeling. I go to the cashier and he rings me up. I could feel the pervy cashier eyeing me up and down. I quickly grabbed the bag from the counter and placed the money there. I sped walked out of the store and continued to walk. It took me 7 minutes to get to school, I was already late.
