Rachel's POV:
We arrived at the party in about half an hour. The loft was filled with people. Daniel parked the car a good distance from the loft."Come on let's go get wasted," Jacqueline grabbed my arm along with Daniel's.
She brought us to the bar where she ordered drinks.
"What happened to being responsible?" I shouted to Jacqueline over the loud music.
"Who ever said I was going to?" She shouted back as the bartender handed her a drink.
The bartender wasn't the same one from the last party that we had came to. He was eying Jacqueline as he watched her drink. I nudged her and signaled in his direction, telling her that the bartender was checking her out without using any words.
"Would you like another?" The bartender smiled at her.
"Yes please," she began to flirt.
I nodded my head towards the crowd, telling her I was going to leave her with the bartender. She nodded her head at me and went back to talking to the bartender.
I grabbed Daniel's hand as he drank and pulled him through the crowd.
"Where are we going?" He shouted as he followed behind.
"Anywhere away from the bar," I shouted back as I found space within the crowd.
Daniel pulled me back and wrapped his arms around my waist.
"Lets dance," he shouted as he pulled me in closer.
The alcohol was evident in his breath. I smiled at him and began to dance. The music genres would change with every song that played, but we continued to dance. After about four songs, my legs began to hurt from the heels.
"I'm tired," I informed him.
"Let's go sit," he responded as he grabbed my wrist and pulled me through the number of people grinding on each other.
Daniel brought me to a couch that was thankfully facing the other way from the dance floor.
"It's so crowded here," I commented.
"Yea it is," Daniel agreed.
"Can't we go to one of the rooms upstairs or something?" I asked.
Daniel scratched the back of his head and chuckled nervously. "I don't think that's the best idea. Those rooms aren't just there for 'talking'".
I furrowed my eyebrows, "It's not like we're going to sleep together. We can control ourselves after all."
He raised both of his eyebrows, "If we go upstairs I don't think that I will be able to."
I sat there in shock. The Daniel I knew was never this spontaneous or very... out there.
"Okay maybe we should just stay here," I suggested.
He nodded his head.
"I'll go get more drinks," Daniel stood up and walked over to the bar.
