*Author's note:
What do you think of the story so far? Any suggestions? Feedback would be greatly appreciated. I've always wanted to write a story on here and I started this a while ago but never actually committed.
I'd really love to know what your opinions are. Hope you enjoy!*___________________________
Rachel's POV:
"I have no idea what we can use for this project," I scratched my head looking around for anything remotely useful."Let's just look up a bunch of experiments we can do at home," Kaiden suggested as he pulled his phone out from his front jean pocket.
I joined him on the floor as we searched up experiments. We kept searching until he got a notification. A text message.
*r u with her?*
He quickly swiped the message up, as if I hadn't already noticed it. He looked at me from the corner of his eye. I turned to him and gave him a soft smile.
"She hates me," I broke the awkward silence.
For some reason, this made him laugh.
"She hates anyone that I talk to," he assured me, with a hint of annoyance in his tone.
His relationship was none of my business and I knew my boundaries, so I didn't pry.
"It's really quiet in your house. Isn't anybody home?" He broke the silence I didn't know was there.
"My brother is. But he's usually just in his room doing work," I sat up and crossed my legs.
"You have a brother?" he sat up and mimicked my position.
I nodded. "Two. Logan and Ethan are both older than me. You?"
He scratches the back of his head. "I have an older brother and two sisters. One's older and one's younger."
"I always wanted a sister," I stare at the window unknowingly.
"You don't like your brothers?" He turns his head a little.
"No, I love my brothers. They're great and everything. I just always wondered what it was like to have a sister-"
The opening of the door interrupts me.
"Rach I'm going to-" Logan stops speaking as soon as he notices Kaiden. "Who's that?"
"My lab partner Kaiden," I turn to introduce them. "Logan this is Kaiden. Kaiden, my older brother Logan."
They both say 'hey' to each other.
"You were saying.." I look at Logan waiting for him to finish his sentence.
"Uh, I'm going to go pick Ethan up from college." He noticeably is trying not to look at Kaiden.
"Ethan has his own car. Can't he just drive here?" I furrow my eyebrows.
"His dumbass let his friend drive it and he crashed it," Logan rolls his eyes with a smirk plastered on his face.
I shake my head at Ethan's idiotic ideas. Logan says goodbye to Kaiden and me and leaves. I turn back to Kaiden. We continue searching for an idea when another message appears.
*hellooo?*
*dont tell me ur ignoring me for HER*Kaiden noticed that I saw the messages. He turned to me and gave me an apologetic look.
"It's cool. I'd be the same way if I were in her position," I shrugged my shoulders and looked at him.
Kaiden's POV:
In her position? Nude on my bed? I'd definitely be okay with that.
