Rachel's POV:
I woke up the next morning in my own bed. I checked my phone for the time. 11 AM. I looked through my notifications, 33 missed calls from Logan.

You know how most people fear seeing that they have missed calls from their mothers? That's the same way I feel about having missed calls from Logan. Especially 33. I clicked on the notification and waited as the phone rang.

"WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU?" Logan shouted through the phone.

"Don't yell," I flinched as I turned the volume down.

"Maybe I wouldn't have to if you weren't out doing god knows what," Logan's voice lowered as he spoke.

"I'm sorry, am I not allowed to live a normal teenage life?" I asked sarcastically.

"Psht, not while you're living under my roof," I could picture the eye roll Logan was giving me at the moment.

"You sound just like a father," I laughed.

"Whatever," Logan was speechless, "What were you doing yesterday anyways?"

I hadn't a clue of what I should tell him. If I were to tell him exactly what I had done, he would never allow me to leave the house without some form of supervision.

On the other hand, I wasn't the best liar. In fact, I'm one of the worst. I start to smile when I try to lie and I sound completely unconvincing.

"Are you going to answer me?" Logan brought me out of my train of thoughts.

"I was... out."

I mentally face-palmed myself as I spoke, quickly trying to think of any lies that I could tell him. After all, he was not here in person to view my facial expression.

"Out where? With who?" His voice grew eager.

"Out at a friend's house," I began, "With a friend."

"Whose house? What friend?"

"Err..." I was stumped, "Truthfully, I was with Daniel."

The line was silent for a couple of seconds before Logan's voice spoke.

"Why didn't you just say that from the start?"

"Because..." I began, quickly thinking of an excuse. "I knew you always had a problem with him, so I figured you'd be mad or something."

The line went silent once again before Logan responded.

"I'm not mad."

"Are you sure?"

"Yea."

I apologized for not answering to any of the calls I received. I was able to make up an excuse about falling asleep on his couch and sleeping over until this morning. For some unexplainable reason, he chose to believe me.

After ending the phone call, I walked over to get clothes. I grabbed my underwear and a bra, as well as some black sweat pants and a random t-shirt with the words "Los Angeles" on them. I walked into the hallway bathroom with my phone and shut the door.

I scrolled through my playlist, trying to decide what song to play. Every now and then I would play music while I showered. I couldn't decide on a song to pick, so I pressed shuffle. After the music started, I began to undress and I got into the shower. I washed my body and my hair for about 5 songs, which was almost half an hour.

After my shower I got dressed and headed downstairs. Ethan was asleep at the central isle in the kitchen with a textbook and a notebook.

"Are you doing homework?" I asked with pure shock evident in my tone.
