Rachel's POV:
I giggled as Jade complained about her mascara getting on her eyelid as she struggled to apply.

"It's not funny Ray," she glared at me, "Spring break ends today and I need to look good for my big return."

She turned back around to face the mirror and tried to apply more mascara.

"Who are you trying to impress anyways?" I raised an eyebrow.

"No one specific," she shrugged, "Actually scratch that, everyone."

"Wow that's a lot of people Jay," I teased.

"Well I have to find a prom date soon," she complained.

"Jay you have an entire year before prom. I think you have time."

"Nooooo," she dragged out as she turned around to face me, "I have to fine a guy, get him to fall in love with me, get him to ask me to prom, find a prom dress and his outfit to match mine, it's this whole big process that I need to start on now."

"But you have a whole year to get a prom date. I'm sure you'll find one."

"Well not all of us have the security of being married."

"I didn't ask to be," I rolled my eyes.

"And to freaking Kaiden Grey. That's it, you've hit the jackpot," she said, finally finishing her makeup.

"You want him? You can take him."

"If I could I would," she said, "But he's all yours now. I wonder how Stephanie's going to take that."

"She's not my problem," I mumbled.

"Are you going to avoid her or...?"

"No. Why should I be the one hiding?"

"You're right," she agreed, "Come on, we're going to be late."

She pointed at the alarm clock next to me on the nightstand. I grabbed my backpack from the floor which I had convinced Jade to sneak into my house to get for me two days ago.

We went down the stairs and debated whether or not we wanted to eat cereal before we left. We decided not to and I grabbed an apple before leaving. We walked out of the house and into Jade's new car which her dad got her for her birthday.

"If you get any food on the seat I will kill you," she threatened.

"Relax I'll eat carefully," I rolled my eyes.

Jade started the car and we drove off to school. The parking lot to the building was more packed than usual, so it took a bit to find a parking spot. Once we did, Jade shut off the car and unlocked the doors. We walked into the building and I automatically felt dead inside. I hated this place.

Jade and I parted ways and went to our lockers. I put in my combination but my locker didn't open.

"What the hell?" I groaned to myself.

I tried again but it didn't work. I tried to open it a couple more times before realizing I was at the wrong locker. My locker was the one next to the one I was trying to break into.

"Today's already not my day," I thought to myself.

I put in my combination to my correct locker and it opened on the first try. I grabbed my notebooks and binders for my first couple of classes before lunch. After I finished, I shut my locker.
