Rachel's POV:
Kaiden sent me a text about half an hour ago to go home, that he had something to take care of. He left the car for me here and I drove home.

"Hey, look who's back," Ethan greeted me as I entered the house.

"Here's your keys," I said as I tossed them to him.

He caught them about a foot away from where he was sitting, never taking his eyes off his laptop. I sat down next to him and looked at his laptop.

"What are you watching?"

"I'm trying to look for something," he said, scrolling down the Netflix selections.

Just then Logan walked in in only sweatpants talking on the phone. I laid down on the couch while Logan practically shouted and Ethan continuously told him to, and I quote, "shut the fuck up."

"Francis is dead," Logan said as soon as he hung up the call.

Ethan suddenly looked from his laptop.

"What?"

"He was murdered," Logan continued.

I pretended not to listen to what they were talking about as I clutched a pillow.

"Rachel," Logan called me.

"Yeah?" I said, not sitting up.

"Where's Kaiden?"

Wait... what?

"Huh?" I sat up.

"Where is he?" Logan asked again.

"I don't know. Why?" I raised an eyebrow.

Ethan turned towards Logan angrily.

"You didn't."

Logan stayed quiet. The millions of thoughts that ran through my mind gave me a headache. The first one: Logan was in on it.

"Rachel go to your room," Ethan ordered.

"What? What for?" I fought.

"Just go," Ethan didn't back down.

"But-"

"Go," Logan butted in.

I rolled my eyes as tossed the pillow onto the couch as I got up and walked passed them both. I walked up the steps slowly. I felt their eyes on me the entire time. I stopped at the top of the steps and sat down against the wall because I knew they couldn't see me from here.

"Logan, she's 17. You told me you were going to call it off," I heard Ethan growl at Logan.

"I had to do what I thought was right," Logan argued back.

"She's 17!"

"So? She was going to get married either way Ethan. Victor had her set up with Thomas. At least we know Kaiden. Think about it, this is the best case scenario."

My breathing stopped. Logan and Ethan knew about the drunk Vegas wedding? Logan encouraged this? I felt my heart drop to my stomach. He sold me out.

"We don't know Kaiden that well," Ethan debated.

"We know him more than we know Thomas."

I heard Ethan groan in frustration and pace around.

"This is for the best Ethan. It's the better option... or at least it was when Francis was alive."

I heard Ethan let out a loud sigh and everything went silent. I stopped paying attention to what was said after until I heard footsteps walking up the steps. I didn't bother moving.
