AN: I might take longer to update now because there is a lot on my plate at the moment but I'll try to update as much as I can.

If I can't update in a certain number of days I might start updating weekly.

*This is a short chapter but Chapter 9 will be out soon*

Rachel's POV:
The next day was pretty tedious. Everyone in the classroom looked at the clock as we waited for the last bell to ring. In about ten minutes, school was over.

Eventually the ten minutes passed. The bell rang, dismissing everyone in the school. The students got up and walked out of the classroom, paying no attention to Mr. Webber who was shouting the English homework.

I walked over to my locker and put in the combination.

"Hey Ray," Jacqueline came up to me.

"Hey Jay," I smiled at my best friend.

"I can't come over today, I have to babysit the little kid next door tonight," Jacqueline moved her side bangs out of her face.

"You never come over anymore," I frowned, "are you cheating on me with some other best friend?"

"Psht, as if. I couldn't get another best friend even if I wanted to. You know too much about me. I don't need all that information being exposed," Jacqueline giggled at her own sentence, "we're bonded for life now."

I giggled and gave her a hug as I closed my locker. She locked our arms together as we walked down the hallway and near the door.

"Need a ride home today?" Jacqueline asked me as we approached the outside stairs.

"Yea I gues-"

"Rachel!" The scream came from behind me.

Jacqueline and I both turned around to see where the scream came from. Kaiden caught up to us, almost taking me down as he stopped his run.

"Let's work on the project tonight, I can't work on it tomorrow," Kaiden spoke between breathes.

"Alright, your house or mine?" I asked, slightly hoping he would say his. I mean how often can a girl say she's been to Kaiden Gray's house?

He gave me a look with the expression 'you know the answer to that' written all over it.

"Right..." I cleared my throat before giving a soft smile.

Kaiden chuckled as he adjusted his bookbag on his shoulder. "I'll see you tonight."

Kaiden walked passed us and left the school building.

"How's that crush coming along?" Jacqueline winked at me as she relocked our arms together.

"Shut up I don't like him..." I blushed as the words came out of my mouth.

"Yea okay, if that's true than I must be married to Evan Peters. In case you haven't noticed, I'm not."

I rolled my eyes at her. "Well I mean you could be secretly married to him, I don't know what you do when I'm not around."

We both giggled and continued to walk to her car. We entered as she unlocked the car. Jacqueline put the keys in the ignition and began to drive off to my house. After a couple of minutes, she arrived at my house. Jacqueline dropped me off and left to her house.

I waved bye at my best friend and walked inside my house.

"Hello? I'm home!" I yelled as I entered, wondering if anyone was home.

"Shut up!" I heard Ethan yell from his bedroom, his voice evidently exhausted.

I giggled as I walked to the fridge. I opened the freezer door and looked around.

"I guess I'll just have ice cream," I told myself as I grabbed the tub of ice cream.

I closed the freezer door and grabbed a spoon from the cabinets. As I ate the tub of ice cream I made my way to my room. I spent majority of the time listening to music until my phone started to ring.

"Hello?" I spoke as soon as I swiped the phone icon.

"I'm outside," Kaiden spoke, out of breath.

"Alright I'm on my way," I replied as I walked down the stairs.

"Woah woah woah where are you going?" Ethan randomly appeared from the kitchen.

"To answer the door?" I answered in a more questionable tone.

"The door bell didn't even ring," Ethan raised an eyebrow at me.

"Kaiden's here," I sighed as I rolled my eyes at him.

Ethan stared at me silently, before letting out a huge breath and saying "you're lucky Logan's not coming home tonight."
