A.N: This is going to be a short chapter. I will be updating every now and then. I want to get my other story started.

Kaiden's POV:
I parked a couple of houses down as Rachel drove off in what I assumed was her brother's car. I watched her brother Ethan walk back into his house and shut the door. I waited a couple of seconds before following her car. I followed her through every street, keeping a distance. After hours of driving, she pulled into the parking lot of what seemed to be a vacant motel.I obviously wasn't planning on staying at the same motel as her, that defeated the whole purpose of staying hidden. I drove up to one of the millions of hotels that Francis owned in Las Vegas. He never once stayed in any of them, but he wanted his name known all across the country, so he started by taking over hotels/motels and restaurants. I guess being a ruthless feared asshole gets you a bunch of hotels and free food.
The sign read FANCY HOTEL, the neon green lights slightly blinding me as I drove up to the parking spot. I parked behind a pick up truck mainly for the purpose of keeping my car out of sight in case she drove by. After parking, I walked into the main lobby. The receptionist greeted me as I walked up to the desk.
"Hi Kaiden," she grinned.
"Hey Pam," I gave her a smile back.
"Back for more work for your father?" she made small talk as she typed away in her computer.
"Something of that sort."
"Your usual room?" Pam asked as she went over to get the key.
"You already know."
Pam handed me the key, her hand lingering on mine. After handing the keys over, she gave me a shy smile.
"Enjoy your stay."
I nodded as I headed to the elevator. I pressed the button that had the number 11 on it. The elevator made a direct trip to the 11th floor. Once the doors opened, I got out and made a right turn. I walked down the hall until I reached the room that I always chose when I came to this specific hotel, 1129. I placed the key into the keyhole and opened the door. I walked inside. The bed was made and seemed untouched for months, mainly because I've told Pam not to let anyone else stay in this room no matter the amount of money they're paying.
I walked to the mini fridge. The mini fridge was filled with bottled water. I grabbed one and shut the fridge. The remote was placed on the nightstand to the left of the bed. Instead of turning on the TV, I pulled out my phone and dialed Jade's number.
"Kaiden?" she answered, not bothering to mask the surprise in her tone.
"Do you know where Rachel is?" I asked.
"...No? Why? Is she okay?"
"I was just wondering. Thanks anyways."
"What the hell Kaiden? Why do you want to know? What's going on?"
I hung up the call and tossed my phone on the bed. I got into the second bed that was in the room. I didn't bother to shut off the lights and fell asleep.
________________________________"Whoo!" the noise of what sounded like a group of drunk girls was heard from down the hall.
I rubbed my eyes, sitting up on what had to be the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. I got out of bed and out the of the room. I walked out of the hotel and went over to Rachel's. This is it. It's now or never.
I opened the door to place she was staying in, the one place in Vegas that Francis didn't own. I asked around for her room number, which took a bit more persuasion than I thought it would, and pulling out a gun at some point.
"Thank you," I smirked after finally getting the room number.
I walked up the stairs to the room that the man at the front desk instructed me to. I checked the time on my phone. It was pretty late at night but not too late. I knocked, more like banged, on her door. When she answered, she seemed more shaken up than surprised.
"What's up?" I asked curiously.
"Why are you here?" she asked, looking anywhere but at me.
"Reasons," I responded bluntly.
"What kind of reasons?" she asked, suddenly looking at me.
"Personal ones."
"Are you stalking me?" she asked, taking a step back.
"Nope." Yes.
She clutched onto what she could of the door, the only thing keeping me out of the room.
"Then why are you here?" she repeated.
"I was... sent here for you," I said the first excuse I could think of.
"You were sent for me? What for?"
"Will you just get out of the room? We have to go," I grew impatient.
I pushed the door open more, causing her to stumble back a bit.
"What the hell are you talking about?"
"Just come on."
