Rachel's POV:
"Well, since I'd have to be there full time to start things up," my father continued, "we've decided to move to New York."

Our faces dropped.

"What??" We all shouted in disbelief.

"Isn't this great news?" My mother jumped up in excitement.

"No," Logan shook his head.

"You mean in order for me to visit, I have to fly all the way to New York?" Ethan's face expressed disgust, "You two are barely here as it is how could this be any better?"

"Watch how you talk to us," my father's face went from excited to angry.

"No Matthew hear them out," my mother stopped my father, "We understand this is big news, but this doesn't have to be."

"How?" I asked.

"Well," my mother began, "Logan, this is technically your house since you're the oldest, but you'll have to start paying the complete bill. Ethan, you have your own apartment on campus so you can save all that money you usually spend on gas driving here and use it to fly to New York and visit us. Rachel's the only one who has to come with us."

"What?" I eyes went wide, "I have to go to New York?"

"Of course pumpkin," my father stated the obvious.

"N-no, I don't want to go," I shook my head in disbelief.

"Why can't she just stay here with me?" Logan furrowed his eyebrows rather aggravated.

"Logan," my mother gave his a sympathetic look, almost as if what she was going to say next was going to hurt him, "you're barely ever home. She needs to be taken care of. She's still a child after all."

"Mom are you serious?" I shouted louder than I meant to, "you and dad show up like twice a year practically, I've been just fine here with Logan. How is you and dad settling down in one state after years going to make a difference?"

"Because young lady," this was one of the few times my father ever seemed to get angry with me, "a teenage girl needs her parents. Who knows what kind of stupid mistakes you'll make."

"Maybe if you visited for more than just an hour you'd know," Ethan mumbled to himself.

At this moment I had no idea how to feel. I felt like a burden to my brothers because before this moment I never realized how much they were doing for me. They'd been there for me more than my parents had been, even before they started taking off for months.

"There's noting that we need to know about," my mother shouted at Ethan, "We are well aware of what goes on in our children's lives."

"It's not like he's wrong," Logan defended Ethan.

"We have been well aware of what goes on in this family and we have been nothing but good parents to you three," my mother shouted at Logan this time.

I grew anxious, hoping that the topic wouldn't come up.

"Then where the hell were you when Rachel got pregnant last year?"

But sometimes, hoping just isn't enough.

My parents seemed caught off guard. Suddenly it became really difficult to breathe.

"Exactly," Logan crossed his arms.

"That's uncalled for," my mother replied.

My father clenched his jaw at the topic. When he found out about it last year, he completely shut me out. Truthfully the only reason he didn't kick me out of the house was because he was barely even here to call it his. Like always, Logan and Ethan were by my side through everything.
