Rachel's POV:
"What are you doing here?" I got up from my seat and walked over to him."My parents decided they wanted to live in New York, so they just packed up our shit and now we're here. What are you doing here?" Daniel tilted his head and furrowed his eyebrows.
"I go here now," I said, scratching my head.
So much for getting away, not that Daniel was one of the people I was trying to get away from.
"You went MIA. What happened? Jade said you haven't answered any of her calls so she had to ask your brothers what happened," Daniel crossed his arms.
"So who's this? Your boyfriend?" Chris glared at Daniel.
"Nah man" "No" Daniel and I said at the same time.
"So I still have a shot," Chris raised an eyebrow playfully.
Hannah punched Chris on the arm.
"Chris fuck off," Hannah said, grabbing her soda.
"Shit Hannah why do you have to hit so damn hard," Chris said rubbing his now bruised arm.
"Maybe you're just weak. Start working out," she took a sip of her soda.
"Weak? Yeah okay," Chris said sarcastically.
"Anyways, Daniel," she turned in his direction as he sat down next to me, "Are you coming to the party on Friday?"
"What party?" Daniel furrowed his eyebrows.
"The party they're throwing," Hannah motions to the three boys responsible for the party on Friday.
"Sure," Daniel shrugged.
Chris nodded then yawned, placing his crossed arms on the table and laying his head down on them. Lunch eventually ended and we all went to the rest of our classes. The rest of the week went by pretty quickly, consisting of me not paying attention in any of my classes and everyone at lunch planning their outfits and rides for the party on Friday. Friday eventually came and the party was all that the lunch table talked about.
"So bring the keg at 6," Chris told Jonas with a mouthful of sandwich.
"Chew your food you peasant," Hannah rolled her eyes.
"Okay mom," Chris said sarcastically.
"Want to go together?" Daniel asked me as he took a sip of his orange juice.
"Sure," I answered, "Pick me up at 8?"
"Okay."
"Wait, you're coming?" Hannah gasped, "I've been trying to get you to agree all week! What made you change your mind?"
"I convinced her," Daniel said proudly.
"What would we do without you Daniel," Hannah commented.
"You'd be Rachelless at the party."
Hannah giggled before going back to eating her fries.
While they were talking, I was rushing to complete my math homework that I forgot I had. After I finished the first out of 8 questions, the bell rang.
"Shit," I put my stuff away, trying to rush to class after saying goodbye to the table.
Once I got to my seat in Calculus, I pulled out my notebook and quickly bs'd the rest of the homework questions. The rest of the day was pretty anticlimactic. At the end of the day I went to my locker and put everything away since I wasn't going to do any homework over the weekend anyways. Might as well not strain my back carrying all those books and binders.
