A.N:
I know there's people asking when I update and what my schedule is (I've seen them in the comments and notifications) and I just want to let you all know that I honestly don't have a schedule.I update when I feel inspired about what to write for the next update but I try to not take over a month to update (I know I've failed at that more than once, I apologize). I just wanted to let you all know.
_______________________________Rachel's POV:
I snatched my shirt off the floor and immediately put it on. I searched for my pants while Kaiden got out of bed."Rachel wait," he placed his hand on my arm.
I pulled away immediately, receiving a look of hurt from him.
"I have to go," I said painfully.
"Look, please just hear me out," Kaiden pleaded.
"There's nothing I need to hear," I said as I took my pants out from under the bed.
How they got there, I have no idea.
I quickly put my pants on and walked past Kaiden. He grabbed my arm and pulled me back. His face had desperate written all over it.
"Rachel please," he said.
I took my arm out of his grasp, not so forceful this time, and took a step back. I glanced at the floor and closed my eyes.
"You lied to me," I said, keeping my head down and my eyes closed.
"I know," I felt him take a step closer, so I took a step back.
"You lied to me about getting married. Married Kaiden." I looked up at him while I said the second part.
"I know," he repeated, this time staying where he was.
"You knew how hard it was for me to wrap my head around that. You saw how I took that news, and what? Was this some sort of joke to you? That you could laugh about as soon as I wasn't around?" I felt myself boiling up.
"No no that's not at all what went down," Kaiden stepped forward in a sudden movement of desperation and fear.
"Please don't come any closer," I put my hand up.
He stood still for a bit and nodded.
"Okay."
"I have to go," I said once again, this time making sure I got out of the room.
I walked out of the room and to the stairs. I could hear Kaiden running after me.
"Wait Rachel," he said sprinting after me even though I myself wasn't running, "Don't leave. I can explain."
I continued down the stairs and over to the front door. He stepped in front of the door, blocking my way out. I tried to reach for the handle but his hand was in the way.
"Rachel please hear me out," Kaiden begged.
"Kaiden please," I said exhausted and on the verge of tears, "I just want to go."
Kaiden looked pained as he stepped out of the way and let me grab the door handle. As soon as he moved, I opened the door and left. I shut the door and began walking. I pulled out my phone from my pocket once I was at the end of the block. Where was I going?
