Chapter 37- diary entry 12

After Gaga blocked Chase's number from my phone, she went into the kitchen to start making dinner. I sat on the couch, watching Once Upon a Time and trying to forget parts of the day. I almost had my mind completely cleared, and then my phone buzzed, I had gotten an email. I unlocked my phone, and waited for gmail to load, what seemed like five minutes later, my inbox finally popped up, and I clicked on the new message. *slcooper@basschools.org: "Hi Amy, it's Ms. Cooper. I just wanted to let you know that I truly am going to miss having you in my class, you've been such a delight the last three years, and such a big help. I wish nothing but the best for you, I can only imagine how excited you must be. I know how much Lady Gaga means to you. I'll miss you so much. Stay strong, and please keep in touch!" I looked down at the message with a big smile, and Gaga came waltzing in. "What're you so smiley about?" She asked, pouncing on the couch. "I just got an email from on of my teachers. It was really sweet." I explained, handing her my phone. "Which teacher?" She asked, starting to read the message. When she was finished she looked at me with a big smile, "That's so sweet!" She said in a singsongy voice. "I know, she's always been my favorite." I started to get a little sad, thinking of the few things I'd be leaving behind that meant something to me. I felt Gaga's hand on mine, "Why don't you invite her over for dinner?" She suggested, seeing my expression. I looked at her with an awkward stare, "No... T-That'd be weird.. She wouldn't say yes... No!" Gaga looked at me with a goofy smile, "Come on Amy! Maybe she'd love to. Ask her, ask her! I really liked her today, she was one of a couple that didn't bore or annoy me... Come on!" Her persistence started to get annoying, "Okay, okay. I'll ask, stop being weird!" I said, with a sly smile. I unlocked my phone, and hit reply. "Hey. Your message meant so much to me, thank you for saying that! You've been such a big help to me... I can't thank you enough. Uhm, so Gaga and I were talking, and wanted to know if maybe you'd like to come for dinner, if not we totally understand. We're having spaghetti. Just let us know." I hesitated pressing send. A couple minutes later my phone buzzed again, "Sounds great dear. Where and when?" I smiled and typed the address to the hotel, and five o'clock. "She said yes!" I called to gaga. "Yay!" She replied.

All I could think was, 'This will either be great... Or it'll be a total disaster...'
