Home wasn't far now, just a couple more miles and Lukas would be a part of the community. He seemed rather excited and upbeat knowing he would return home, yet he couldn't stop feeling sorry for himself for abandoning the gang on purpose and breaking Jesse's fragile heart into a thousand pieces. In trying to apologise for his unwise actions, Jesse simply embraced him. "Hey, at least we're together again, that's all that matters. I missed you and dreaded the worst that could've happened to you. Now that you're with us again, we can both feel complete again."

Jesse looked at his sister and smiled knowing that she is her good old self again. Nothing brings as much warmth to his heart than seeing her smile, well, apart from Petra of course we shan't forget. Within an hour of travelling side-by-side, it had grown dark, forcing them to set up camp for the rest of the night. And thanks to their numbers, they managed to set up a 5-block-tall cobblestone wall capable of withstanding the creeper's silent attack. Jesse was tired after the work, and so managed to collapse of extreme tiredness, straight into Lukas' arms. Great, this'll make things soooooo much easier...

Jesse was already roasting some carrots above the netherrack fire, his sleeping sister snatched his attention. "Oh great, her too Lukas? Seems like both of them are dozing off nowadays, and we gotta look after them. Suppose that's the thrill of having kids in the future, and I suspect yours to tire you out quicker than Reuben went through a pile of carrots given her quirkiness!" Lukas lay Jesse on the soft grass and laughed, "Yeah, I guess. Honestly, I missed the times when she would drive me crazy, but through the hilarious screaming and occasional whinging, I never stopped loving her."

Lukas sat beside him with a rather sad look. Jesse turned to him and said "Everything all right?" Lukas in turn, nodded and replied "Yeah I'm all right. I just wish I hadn't snapped at her before, then it would be much easier to bear returning home with you guys. I feel rotten about it still, and I'm really deeply sorry about that." Jesse removed a carrot from the flame, examined it, blew it, and bit it, before saying "Hey, you shouldn't have to bear all that. Keep in mind you didn't know she and I were related, and remember that we were all stressed out. I assure you this isn't on you, but on all of us."

"Thank you for being cool about it Jesse. You're a good friend to have around. Oh, and, thank you, for bringing her back to me; I owe you one." Jesse nodded at his friend and jokingly said "More like bring you back to her. You must've been dying to see her again every day and night she isn't there to comfort and cuddle you close..." He eventually stopped when Lukas flicked his head at you. "Oh, and Lukas? I'm really sorry about before. I just lost control, got so mad and, just went for it. Could you ever forgive me?" Lukas patted Jesse's shoulder and his solemn face looked up at him. "Of course. You only attacked me, but what is one silly fight compared to the great solid you did for me? I'm more than happy to let bygones be. And I should be apologising, Jesse. After all, I was the one who ran away as well as drove myself away in the first place. I'm gonna tend to Jesse now, catch you later."

"Sounds good mate. Oh and, try to wake her up, these carrots are just about done." It turned out Jesse was already stirring whilst they were talking, she was much well-relaxed and visibly relieved that I'm in her life again. "Hello honey. I must say, it feels really good to be with you guys again. But mostly to be with you. I missed you so much..."

Jesse turned and replied "And I really missed you. It's been far too long now. I don't want you and me to be separated from each other again," lifting her head to kiss his cheek. "C'mon Jesse. You don't have to sweet-talk me for me to love you. I always will." he replied as he lay beside her.

Jesse felt so happy that she and Lukas were together again. She sat up to sit beside her brother who was tending to the fire. "I couldn't thank you enough. You've done me a massive favour, and I am forever in your debt."

"Hey, you're my little sister. It's the least I can do. After all, you did shelter me during Winter AND give me that sweet heating system. Consider this as my form of repayment for the good deeds in the past. I don't know anyone else in this world who would show me such kindness and love." Jesse said, which put a wide grin on her mouth. He then noticed Petra, sat in the corner, looking rather lonely. Again, it wasn't normal at all for her to be so sad and quiet. He walked up to her, she couldn't even fix him a stare.

"Petra? You okay?" Now she turned to face him, she looked heavily depressed. "Something gutting you? You're never like this."

"Petra's father is dead, Jesse. Passed away yesterday." When Jesse heard this, he was filled with such guilt he tripped over a small rock. He sat up and softly said "I didn't know, Petra. I'm really sorry." Petra slowly turned away from him, whispering "Just... just leave me alone Jesse. Not that I don't appreciate your efforts, but I just, need this time to myself." Jesse simply nodded and walked away. Poor Petra. I never met her dad, but something tells me he would've been such a cool guy. Jesse felt the urge to hug her, but she knew her needs and solemnly sat by the fire.

An hour later everybody was out, except Lukas and Jesse. She was snuggling beside him. "I really missed that feeling." She smirked and replied "What feeling?" Lukas answered "You. I really did miss you guys. And I am sorry that I ditched you guys. It was a really stupid idea and I never should've done it." Jesse knew he meant it.

"Hey, we all feel like we need some alone time. Like you, even I feel like I could use a rest from all this romance- oh, and speaking of romance..." her voice began to trail off. Lukas was at first confused, but his eyelids flew open when she produced, in her hand, a small gold tube which read No. 5 Rouged Blasphemer. "Uh-oh."

Jesse suddenly pinned him against the ground, giggling. She planted a kiss on his lips and Lukas gasped. "Hey! Calm down!" She pressed a finger against his lips, pointing at Jesse and Petra who were sleeping. "I really missed doing this to your cute little face..." she snickered, daubing it on her lips and smacking them so the layer was dry but quite damp. Then she stroked his cheek, and said in a flirtatious voice "Hold still Lukas. This won't take long, hee-hee-hee." Lukas gulped, then she went for it, caressing his face with her lips by planting red kisses all over his face and giggling away.
"Oh bleurgh! That's disgusting!" Lukas yelled. Admittedly, he was often disgusted by this, but knowing she loves him comforted him, yet he still tried his best to keep those devil-red lips from touching his skin. Eventually, her affection became so overwhelming, Lukas gave in, he was enjoying it too much.

Jesse smirked at his reddened face where some patches gleamed slightly. She sighed and laughed one last time before firmly kissing his lips one last time and lying beside him, panting. "You're cute when you're nervous..." Lukas scoffed at her remark, "Nervous? Jesse, that was really revolting! Although..." he replied, turning her head to face him, "It's good to know you love me, and want to rub it all in my face. You are such a bad girl..." fixing her a cheesy grin. She smiled back, then kissed his forehead (leaving a mark, of course) and resting her head on his chest, sighing at the sound of his strong heartbeat for her. "Oh I missed you so much..." she whispered. "Yeah, me too. Thanks for coming to get me, it means a lot." Lukas softly replied, wrapping an arm around her shoulders and clutching her near. Before drifting off to sleep, Lukas uttered the words "I love you Jesse, so much..." and Jesse slowly opened an eye and smiled, whispering back "I love you too" which was barely audible, then finally drifting off.

They shared a dream. They were sat by a beautiful shimmering lake, hand-in-hand and gleaming at each other. The soft wind picked up, and Lukas wrapped his jacket around Jesse who was shivering. "Thank you..." she gently said, Lukas beamed and kissed her forehead.

As the sun began to set, and Jesse rested her head on his shoulder and her arm wrapped behind him. Lukas said "Jesse. There's something I need to ask you."

"What is it Lukas?" she asked in wonder as Lukas helped her up. He took a deep breath and then suddenly dropped to a knee, Jesse gasped when she knew what was going to happen. Producing a tiny ring with a polished diamond encrusted on it, Lukas looked up at her deep green eyes and clutched her hand whilst presenting the ring. "Wow it's, it's, it's beautiful!" She stammered like she was having a fangirl attack. Lukas smiled and flushed, saying "Not as beautiful as you, my love." Jesse was so touché by his soft words, she stifled a giggle and her cheeks slowly turned red. Lukas began to speak again, "Jesse. Will you-"

Hey lovebirds, it's time to go.
