Chapter III
After Christmas, Jesse returned to his treehouse, which looked exactly as it was before he stayed with his sister for the holidays. When he went inside, it appeared to him as a barren abaneoned haunt in need of serious renovation. "A couple tweaks and it'll feel just like home again." He also noticed a box in the centre of the room, it seemed brand new, and on top of it was a hand-written note, which read:
So you don't go cold again! Love you! - Jesse xx
Jesse was touched by her sister's generosity. Not only did she offer him a cozy home during the blazing blizzards, she even got him something so he could continue to be self-sufficient. "How lovely." He opened the box, it contained:
A daylight sensor with a built-in thermistor
Redstone dust
Redstone-powered radiator
Wind-powered generator
"Awesome! Looks like I gotta get to work then." Jesse had never intended to study Advanced Redstone Techniques at college, so it took him hours to decipher the ancient scroll which was the instruction manual, and even longer to actually set up. When he had done, he was so happy with himself. "Sis, forever will I treasure your kindness. Thank you."
Jesse then began to re-assort and renovate his suite. Thankfully much of the redstone was outside (and resistant to the elements) so it wasn't an issue. The issue was the mess made by the winds ravaging through his treehouse. Much of his items had been relocated when he had finished.
He had a small seating area together with a little bookshelf, his bed was on the other side of the room, his makeshift kitchen and crafting corner were in the same area, and much of his inventory had been assorted. He also brought in carpets and some blinds for added comfort. There was also a netherrack fireplace in the centre of the room, Jesse felt just like at home again. He smiled broadly at the end of a long week, all of his time and effort was just to feel at home.
When he sat down on his armchair, he would lay back and enjoy the reminiscence of his past memories:
Petra comforting him in their youth.
That magical night on the hill with Petra.
Their first kiss on the dance floor.
The surprise the next morning.
His sister's generous offer.
Risking his life to save his most loved one.
The laughs and romance on Christmas.
"Ahh. Those memories shall have a fine place in my heart." Jesse made these memories special, for it had been the times where love is the greatest driving force and he ever felt loved...
