The Quest - Part III

The Cocoa Caverns

The phenomenally impossible Cocoa Caverns were said to be dripping in exotic rich chocolate sourced unknowingly. The chocolate was said to have been sourced from fermented cocoa trees, strenghtening the content and infusing it with red-hot magma essence (which gives it its granite texture and its surprising twist). Jesse and Lukas had begun to head there after the reddest roses have been retrieved.

"So what d'you expect to see when we get there?" Jesse asked, to which Lukas homorously responded "Erm, brown-coloured sweetness on the walls? 'Bout as sweet as Jesse herself. Oh to see her face once again." Jesse raised an eyebrow before he noticed where Lukas going, then he groaned.

"Lukas, we got 12 hours to retrieve these chocolates and race back in time for the Valentine Ball and romance and kisses and... oh you get it! We can't afford any more distractions!" Lukas immediatly knew where Jesse was going with romance and kisses (NO! I did NOT mean that in a way! Grow up!) and returned to the right state of mind. Oh, wow.You amaze me... Err, maybe not too correct.

It was starting to go dark and Jesse was growing anxious. Not only were they running out of time, but it was also growing increasingly dangerous. "Crap... We gotta hurry to these caves NOW!" The caves weren't far now, it was only ten minutes distance, provided that you were running. They panted their way to the nearest opening, dodging ravenous zombies and sonic arrows, as well as explosions. "Jesse, look out!" Lukas yelled when he noticed a charged creeper was right behind them. Jesse gasped, before yelling "Oh crap! RUN! RUNNNN!" The creeper then gave off a decimating detonation, its explosion wave travelling through air at breakneck speeds, propelling Jesse and Lukas 50ft forward.

The landing was extensively rough, and Jesse (being in immediate proximity to the explosion) screamed in pain when he noticed that the explosion had fractured his left leg entirely. "Ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow OW OW!!!" It also singed his left leg, causing him to also wince at the burning sensation. "Man it burns! Lukas! Help me!" Lukas's vision blurred out temporarily and was then able to see that Jesse needed help. "I'm coming!"

Lukas inspected the wound and using a bucket of water he had in his inventory, poured it over the wound, soothing the burning feeling, but making Jesse's leg feel swollen and as if his skin was tightening. "It may not help much but hey at least your leg doesn't burn anymore. Here, drink this, it'll do the job," Lukas said, handing Jesse a bottle full of some sort of potion. Unstoppering the bottle, he immediately noticed that it was menthol-based, and gulping it down slowly, within seconds, he felt as if his leg was rather strengthened than completely fractured. But he still knew it was broken and quickly made a crutch out of some wooden sticks lying on tbe ground. "Whew, that feels better. Thanks Lukas." Lukas nodded approvingly, and helping him up, they limped gradually until they reached the caves.

And what a sight it was...
