THE MEADOW

"OK. We have 24 hours to retrieve the items we need and head back. We know for a fact that the reddest roses could ever only exist in such exotic meadows such as the Purple Meadow." Lukas raised an eyebrow and said back "But it's too risky. Nobody has been knwon to return. Nobody!" Jesse scowled and said "D'you wanna keep your girlfriend's sugar-coated heart or not?" Lukas did not respond, for he understood.

The Purple Meadow was a place of exotic beauty. It caught the eyes of any potential botanist due its impressive flora rather thn fauna. However, the road poses multiple difficulties:

There are no suitable locations to replenish supplies.
The journey MUST be made on foot.
The weather can be unpredictable.
The journey is long, expect a lengthy hike.

Jesse sprinted back to the treehouse and slipped on his hiking clothes with multiple tools and as much food as his inventory can contain. Lukas rushed back to his cabin and suited himself up for the long road that lay ahead. He kissed Jesse on her soft forehead, and said that "I'll be back."

The two had reached the long winding path cutting through the Emerald Forest. When they began advancing, they knew they were committed to this course. Jesse and Lukas knew that they were doing this just so their girlfriends could be happy on Valentine's Day. We can do this! I know we could, because... er... we CAN! "Jesse. Please stop with the anticlimactic talk. It's annoying the audience!" Lukas remarked, making Jesse stop being anticlimactic. That was anticlimactic?

The weather truly was unpredictable, and what had appeared to be a weak gale had become a raging thunderstorm. Jesse suggested avoiding the tall grass, for they will be struck far more times than the average jetliner in a year of service. Lukas' love affection for his sweetheart could only take him so far, especially when "Lukas! LOOK OUT!" Lukas suddenly turned to Jesse, "What? What's going-" but he was interrupted by a trememndous force. He had been struck. Jesse dropped his bag and ran to his aid. "You OK? Don't worry, most victims survive, or wait was it the other way round, where most die or-" but Lukas yelled back "Jesse. Shut. UP! And help me! I'm not dying here because of a bumbling idiot like yourself!"

Jesse fell silent and grabbed medication. "I knew this would happen. Hang in there Lukas. Hang on to your faith. Think.Positive. Thoughts." Lukas shut his eyes as the apparatus functioned. Jesse. Young and beautiful. Waving happily outside the door at him. She's as amazing as ever, and Lukas breath was taken away into the air as she rushes over to tightly grasp him. A peep into her marble eyes had deprived him of his breath. Astonishing...

Jesse, as she is right now. In a long and dashing white dress. Truly an elegant and breathtaking wonder to behold. Lukas was stunned to witness her true beauty in this world. They were in a cathedral. Bells were ringing all around. The crowd applauding away as the couple gently stroll towards the altar. Cries of joy and awe as the pronunciation is uttered. And the whoops that followed when their lips meet once again. The photographer beckoning the crowd to shuffle so the perfect image of the couple may be taken. Lukas flushed deep red on this one...

Then, Jesse, several years into the future. Still smiling and clutching a hand. Her young son chasing butterflies about the garden. The hand, being his own. He was viewing his own son play outside. Then he turned to his wonderful wife and utters 'I cannot confess with words how much I love you...' to which she replies 'And I you.'

"Lukas. Lukas? You good?" A worried Jesse was staring at him. The storm had calmed down, and it was somehow a light snowfall. "Yeah. How long was I out?" Jesse shrugged "God knows. Only thing I DO know is: You owe me one." Lukas gasped in amazement when he figured out that "You dragged me?" Jesse only nodded slightly. They had made it. They were in The Purple Meadow.
