Gabi's POV

I shot Miles a text, telling him I was getting lunch, and was wondering if anyone else in the office wanted anything. Miles and Kerry asked for a sandwich and told me they would pay me back. I got in the car, starting it and waiting for Gavin to get in.

He got in and looked over at me, panting slightly.

"Sorry, Michael pulled me aside and told me to get him a sandwich." Gavin huffed, buckling his seat belt. I nodded and shot Michael a text

To Michael:

Better pay me back, ginger.

I started driving off towards civilization.

"Gavin, where's the nearest subway?" I asked, and I didn't get an answer. "GAV!" I shouted and Gavin jumped, looking at me.

"Wot?!" He said, running his hand through his hair.

"Where's the nearest subway?" I repeated myself.

"Oh, uh, turn left here." He responded. I followed his directions and when we got to the little strip mall, I pulled up into the parking lot. I got out and walked inside, Gavin following behind. We ordered our subs, and sat down and ate. "Aren't you going to get Michael, Kerry and Miles one?" He asked, cocking his head to the side.

"Well yeah, but I'll get them before we leave." I said, looking at him as he nodded.

"So how long have you known Geoff?" He asked, I squinted my eyes at him. I think he forgets I'm his sister.

"26 years." I stated.

"Aren't you 26?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Gavin. I'm his sister." I began growing irritated with Gavin. I threw an olive at him and he pursed his lips.

"Sorry, I'm an idiot." he frowned, and I shook my head.

"I don't think you're an idiot. I believe that your pretty smart, you just don't think things through before saying them. Plus, a lot of people forget Geoff and I are siblings, since I'm like 13 years younger than him, and look nothing like our parents." I chuckled, and he gave me a small smile. I returned the smile and continued eating. I got up and tossed my trash away, getting up and walking back to the line to order food for the three other boys. I paid and took the bags over to Gavin.

"Lettuce go, Free!"  I giggled, picking up a piece of lettuce that was left on the table. Gavin raised an eyebrow, and then started laughing. I started laughing because of how hard Gavin was laughing. I shook my head and walked back to the car. Gavin followed me and when he calmed down, he looked at me.

"Hey, Gabi?" He said, his voice was small. I raised an eyebrow at him. "Nevermind." He pouted and opened the car door. He got in as I got in.

"No, tell me." I said, looking at him. His cheeks were pink and he was looking down at his hands.

"I was going to ask you if you wanted to go on a date, sometime soon." He said, he looked up at me and gave a small smile. I furrowed my brows and i was confused.

"Aren't you dating Meg?" I asked, tilting my head to the side.

"Nah, we broke up when you got the job. It had nothing to do with you, we just, didn't work out." He shrugged. I chuckled and nodded.

"Yeah, that sounds fun." I smiled, causing him to smile. I leaned over the console and kissed his cheek, causing him to turn pink again. I giggled and started the car, driving back to work. Gavin and I had become acquaintances since I started working here. Never very close, but never, NOT close, you know? We shared a few laughs here and there, and he was always there when I was down. Gavin's a good friend.
