Part of me wanted her not to answer when I knocked. I wanted to walk away from this and never face it again. I wanted to move on from this, and I'm sure she did too. I sighed as I heard the door unlock, and opened revealing a very messy haired, red faced, small and frail looking brunette girl in front of me. My heart shattered.
"G-Gabi..." I tried to say something but my voice cracked. She looked up at me, her eyes were swollen from crying. I couldn't say anything, it hurt seeing her like this. It will always hurt, seeing the person you love, look so god damned heart broken. She stared at me, as I continued to wander her face, I noticed her eyes were bloodshot. I frowned and shook my head.
"What are you here for?" She croaked.
"I- I-" I stuttered but I don't think I could form a simple sentence. Nothing could come out, it just wouldn't.
"I don't have time for this, gavin." She spat at me, and went to shut the door. Luckly, my foot caught it before it closed.
"Please." I muttered.
"Please, what Gavin? Haven't you hurt me enough?" She scolded me.
"I'm so sorry, Gabi." I spoke quietly, I didn't want her to hear my voice crack again. "I'm so bloody sorry for what had happened. I never meant to hurt you, and I never meant for anything to happen between Meg and I. I just want to get over this little bump in the road, and keep our relationship going. I don't want this to be the end of our relationship. Meg set me up, she wanted that to be the end, but I wont let it be, because I love you Gabrielle." I rambled. "I love every little thing about you, from the way you snore in your sleep, to the little doodles you leave around at my desk. I love your laugh and I love the way you look at me, when you think I'm not paying attention. I love the patience you have for me, and you're an absolute joy to be around. You're so fucking beautiful, and I'm so lucky to have been able to call you mine." I finished and she just stared at me. I don't know if what I did was right for the moment, but I felt like I needed to say it.
"It's cold. Come inside." she spoke softly, looking at the ground as she opened up the door. I stepped inside, and she closed the door behind me. Her room was dimly lit, besides the small bathroom light on. "I just need time to think." She muttered as she walked to the queen sized bed. I frowned and looked at the couch. It just looked absolutely uncomfortable. I sat on the couch and soon heard soft snoring. I smiled to myself as I laid down, and fell asleep shortly after that.
Next morning, Gabi's POV
I left the motel around 4:30 so I could get to my place in enough time to get ready. I threw my hair in a messy bun, I grabbed a plain black tshirt, that I could've sworn was Gavin's but didn't really care at this point. I pulled on jeans and slip on vans. I sighed when I passed a mirror. I heard the door unlock and I saw Gavin step in. I frowned and grabbed my keys and bag, ignoring his presence and walked out the door. I heard him call for me but I ignored it. I walked to my car, and sat in my car knowing Gavin didn't have a ride. I started it and watched him walk down the stairs.
His gaze met mine as he walked towards the car. There was a faint smile on his lips as he got in the passenger seat. I backed out of the space before he could even fully get in. He slammed his door shut and I saw him glance at me.
"You waited for me?" He asked.
"Yep." I nodded, staring at the road as I drove to work.
"Why?"
"Because it was the nice fucking thing to do." He nodded and got out when I parked in the parking lot. I stayed in my car, waiting til Gavin went inside so I could follow. When I walked in, Geoff immediately greeted me. I jumped and stared up at my brother.
"Hey Gabi, if it's okay would you want to do a Play Pals with Gavin?" He asked, I stared at him. he was fully aware of what happened yesterday.
"No." I said, firmly.
"Fair enough." He nodded.
"I have work to do." I spoke again, walking past him towards my desk. I flopped down in my seat and was greeted with a hug from Jordan. I smiled softly, waving at him and put on my headphones so I could start editing. I busied myself with work all day, that I hadn't eaten a thing. When I got up, I felt a bit dizzy. I groaned, drinking a bit of water. I walked toward the AH room and heard Geoff screaming about something. I opened the door and plopped on the couch behind Gavin, Michael and Jeremy's desks. I curled into a ball and ended up passing out.
Geoff's POV
I looked up to see Gabi wander into the room, I frowned at the site of her. I knew Gavin's intentions were accidental but I hadn't seen her like this in years. We finished up our Let's Play video.
"Gavin," I called him over after everyone had left, he popped his head over his monitors and walked over to me. "Has she said anything yet?" I asked, looking at him. He frowned and shook his head. "Let me take her to my house to get some rest, take her car home and I'll talk to her tomorrow." I said, looking up at my best friend. He looked miserable too. Gavin nodded and grabbed her car keys out of her hand and left the room.
I picked up my sister, and carried her out to my car. I set her in the backseat and drove off to my house. I pulled her out of my car, which in turn, made my back start hurting incredibly bad. I'm too old to be carrying my almost 30 year old sister into my house. Griffon opened the door and I took her to the extra bedroom, laying her down.
"What happened?" I heard Griffon speak softly behind me. I turned around as I shut the door behind me.
"I don't have a good feeling about this." I frowned, looking at my wife with sad eyes. "She's never dealt with relationships well, I just hope she doesn't start spiraling out of control again." I sighed, shaking my head. "She's always had this habit of doubting herself, and forgetting her worth. She's built up her confidence and how proud she is of herself for 11 years. I don't want her to have to rebuild that. I want her to make the right decision, and either way, it is the right decision, I just hope she REALLY thinks about it before making it final." I spoke. Griffon nodded and kissed my cheek.
"Give her the day off to think, maybe spend some brother sister bonding with her." Griffon suggested and I nodded.
"I think I'll do that, actually." I smiled to myself. "Let's get to bed though, I'm tired." Griffon agreed and we headed off to bed.
