Funhaus and High School?

"Hey guys!" Geoff walked in, clapping his hands. I jumped slightly, looking up at my brother. He was always really quiet when he was walking around so you could almost never hear him. I heard Gavin shriek and Ryan laughed hysterically as Gavin fell out of his chair. "Gavin! You're a fucking idiot!!" Geoff laughed, looking down at Gavin. Gavin whimpered and got back in his chair.

3 months had passed by and everything was so different. The Let's Play channel started uploading Funhaus videos on it, Ray had left Achievement Hunter, but stayed in the RT community, we moved offices (AGAIN). Ray leaving really took a toll on me, considering he became one of the closest people to me after Meg and Gavin started dating, again.

"We've got some great news!" Geoff said, looking over at us all. Jeremy turned around in his seat with questioning eyes. Jeremy had replaced Ray and the fans, were not all too pleased about that. But, someone had to. Some fans were saying they'd rather have me as Ray's replacement rather than Jeremy. "Funhaus is now apart of the Rooster Teeth community!!" Geoff said, giving a toothy grin underneath his mustache. I giggled at the sight of my brother, and clapped.

"We should go celebrate!" Jack suggested, chuckling.

"They should be recording a video right now though." I said, looking over at jack.

"That's perfect!!!" Gavin laughed, standing up and sprinting towards the Funhaus offices. We all chased after him, Michael and I had our phones out, recording as Gavin booked it through the halls. Gavin kicked open the Funhaus office door, and screeching, tackling the nearest person. The nearest person happened to be Joel, and Joel stumbled over his own feet, along with Gavin. Gavin's screeching became gurgles and yelps as Joel and Gavin fell into Matt Peake's chair, and then into Lawrence's chair. Gladly Matt and Lawrence weren't in their chairs, because they were filming a comment video.

"WELCOME FUNHAUS TO THE ROOSTER TEETH COMMUNITY!!!" Michael yelled, holding up the camera to the Funhaus members. They all stood in awe as a very weak voice came from behind them.

"I'm fine guys! Thanks!" Joel whined, Bruce looked down and started laughing, soon the whole team was laughing, alongside us. Gavin got up before helping Joel, pulling him to his feet.

"Sorry about that, mate, I was hoping it would've been Adam or Bruce." Gavin chuckled, fixing his hair. Joel shrugged and chuckled.

"No big deal." He smiled at Gavin, Gavin returned the smile and Michael and I ended our videos.

"Sorry for interrupting your video." I spoke up first, "I told them you guys were recording and Gavin thought it was necessary to 1. sprint out of the office, 2. kick open your door, 3. tackle joel and 4. almost break your computers and monitors." I giggled, everyone chuckled.

"It doesn't matter to us, we don't pay for it." Bruce responded. I heard Geoff gruff and he shook his head.

"Break your computers and I'll break your career." He huffed, turning on his heel and walking back to the Achievement Hunter office. I giggled, watching them as they left. I was the last one to leave.

"Hey Elyse, Miles wanted me to tell you that you and I have to go over some voice acting again for RvB." I said, smiling at her. She smiled back and nodded, I took that and left quickly, feeling extremely awkward. I felt like they didn't like me, I felt like a lot of people didn't like me here. I had a feeling it was because I basically got handed the job because I was a Ramsey, or if it was because I was so introverted. I shrugged off this thought and walked to the annex where Miles was sitting on the couch.

"Hey, can I ask you something?" I said, he looked up at me and nodded. I sat next to him, letting my hands rest in my lap.

"Yeah anything, what's up Gabs?" He spoke softly. Miles and I were really close, since Monty's passing. We spent a ton of time together, but that was probably because my job in Rooster Teeth was to literally draw and animate with Miles, but Monty's passing really took a toll on both of us, considering we spent more of our time with him. Anyways, Miles always knew that there was something wrong, just when I blinked.

"I feel like," I chewed on my lip a while, staring down at my hands. I fiddled with my fingers before speaking again. "I feel like I'm not exactly wanted here by a lot of the employees here, like Meg doesn't like me, the Kinda Funny guys ignore the fact that I exist, they literally think i'm an intern and I've worked here longer than them." I started to ramble, feeling my body boil up in rage slightly. I took a deep breath, calming myself. I sighed and looked at Miles. "The point is, I don't know if people don't like me because I'm Geoff's sister and literally got handed this job, or if it's just because, I'm Gabi." I mumbled my name and looked back down at my hands. Miles chuckled and shook his head. I looked at him, raising an eyebrow.

"You're insane Gabi." he said. I raised both of my eyebrows now. "I know you don't exactly want to hear this, but the only reason people don't like you, and this is literally some high school bullshit, is because Meg is talking shit. And people are gonna listen to Meg over you because you actually have common decency." I looked at him, furrowing my brows. "You don't have to show your tits or ass to get your way. You work hard for the things you get. You worked hard to get where you're sitting right now. Meg probably sucked some dick to get where she's at." He said, looking me in the eyes, I giggled and shook my head.

"That's probably not true." I spoke softly, looking back down at my hands, but this time I sat forward, resting my elbows on my knees.

"No, I promise you. Gavin tries to get her to stop but she keeps running her mouth." He replied, I could see he was smiling through my peripheral vision. "Rumor has it, he's gonna dump her." He whispered, causing me to smile at such a childish thing. I giggled and turned to look at him.

"So what you're saying is, I should like, stop her?" I asked. He nodded and grinned, mischievously. 'oh god.' I thought to myself, I thought I was going to be sick.

"I've got to run some lines with Barbara and Elyse." I lied, getting up and walking towards Burnie's office. I knocked on the door and he opened it, smiling at me. "Hey I need advice." I said, looking up at him. His smile faded and he nodded, letting me inside. 

"What's up?" He asked me, sitting down at his desk. I sat in the seat in front of his desk and let out a long sigh. 

"Well, Miles told me that Meg has been talking shit about me." I frowned, looking down at my hands. I was mad at Gavin for getting back with Meg. I thought we had something, and I was excited to get close to Gavin, in more ways than others. But when I had saw that he was back with Meg, I was genuinely hurt. I glanced up to see Burnie's expression. 

"Look, Meg's just jealous of what you have. I love Meg, just as much as everyone else, but you've worked hard to get where you are right now. I know it seems like you got your job because Geoff is your brother. We see the work you submit every week. What you do is INCREDIBLE, Gabi. You have successfully, fulfilled Monty's expectations, and have taken his spot as animator." Burnie said, his voice faltering when he spoke of Monty, I frowned. Monty and Miles were my best friends. When I had found out Monty had passed, I hadn't shown up for work in almost 2 weeks. I had spent 2 weeks, laying in bed, crying. I was still recovering from the weight loss that had happened in those two weeks.  

"I won't ever take his spot as an animator." I said, looking up at my boss. "No one will ever fulfill his spot. I may have exceeded his expectations, but I will never be as good at what I do than Monty was." I stated, looking down at my hands. My skin slowly was starting to be covered up in little tattoos. They seemed meaningless to some, but they had meant everything to me. 

"Just, don't listen to Meg. She's just threatened by you, you're much better in everything you do, and she's jealous." Burnie smiled at me, I returned the smile. "Seriously, Gabi. Ignore her." He leaned over his desk and patted my shoulder. 

"Thank you." I got up, smiling at him and walking out. 

"No problem." Burnie nodded, waving. I waved back and closed the door.
