I wasn't formally asked to be On The Spot, but I was taking the place for Elyse. Adam and I were on one team and Jeremy and James were on the other team. This was my first time being on the show but I had watched a couple episodes so I knew all of the games and jokes.
"I've only been on this show a handful of times." Adam said to me, before we started streaming. Jon introduced the show and our team names. Jeremy and James' team name had to do with their names and a play on words or whatever. Adam and I's team name was a pun, thanks to Barbara on that. Jon obviously made jokes and then introduced the first game, which was ABC'S of Story Telling. Adam and I were absolute shit at it, just like we were in the practice round before hand.
Our word was Vavine, in Cunning Linguistics. Adam thought it meant something about the vagina and I thought it was a Roosterteeth's fan name for Xray and Vav. Everyone thought that was funny, but I felt humiliated. That seemed to be a very constant thing at Roosterteeth; me feeling constantly embarrassed and humiliated. The actual definition of Vavine was nothing we thought it was. It's a swift, jab like motion, backhand to the face.
Jeremy and James' word was Penguin. Jeremy thought it was when someone slid across the ground on their stomachs and James had no idea so he bullshitted his answer. Adam left me to answer.
"well Jon," I started, looking at him. He nodded and I nodded back. "a penguin is when someone, is like, taking a shit or something, so they're sitting down on the toilet with their pants around their ankles and they hear something, like i dunno, like their cat knocking down some expensive ass glass, and they get off the toilet-"
"is this story going somewhere?" Jeremy laughed, they all laughed.
"Jeremy I'm fucking talking, you twit." I said, staring at him, I flipped him off and he chuckled. "ANYWAYS, as I was saying, before I was rudely interrupted was, they get off the toilet in such a rush that they forget their pants are around their ankles and they end up waddling to the noise, and sometimes will fall." The audience and every one started laughing. I watched as they laughed with me. That felt much better than getting laughed at.
"Let's find out the real definition!" Jon wheezed. The real definition was when a girl is giving a guy a blowjob but pulls away before he climaxes and walks away, leaving him with his pants around his ankle, and waddling after her. Jon ended up giving me points. We joked and messed around in Jon's ad reads and James and Jeremy ended up having to do a redemption challenge, but Adam and I ended up winning.
I noticed Gavin was in the audience half way through the show and he seemed much happier than the last couple weeks. He went to England to visit his family and Dan, and that normally brought him back, cheery and happier. After the post show, I was greeted by Gavin at the trash can, while throwing away some beer cans and bottles. I smiled as he walked over to me.
"I always loved being on that show, but watching it may actually be funnier." He chuckled.
"Dude I sucked there. I don't even know how Adam and I won." I smiled at him, and he returned the smile.
"I think, you're hilarious Gabs." he ruffled my hair. I glared up at him and fixed my hair when he removed his hand. "You hungry?" he asked, I bit my lip, wondering if i was actually hungry.
"I am, but I have to finish writing for Camp Camp." I frowned. He returned the frown and then smiled widely, causing me to smile.
"What would you like? I'll come bring you something!" He chirped, and reached his hand for my hip, holding it softly. I chuckled and shook my head.
"Oh Gav, you don't have to get me anything." I said, patting his forearm, and looked up at him.
"Please! I want to get out of here anyways!" He insisted, pouting like a cute puppy. I sighed and nodded.
"Fine! I'd like some Chipotle, and I'll text you what I want when you get there." I smiled sweetly at him, he nodded and ran towards, what I was guessing, Geoff's office. I sighed and walked back to my desk. Kerry and Miles were sitting at my desk, 'casually' as some people would say, but it was not casual at all. I sat in my chair and Miles spoke first.
"So, you and Gavin?" He asked, wiggling his eyebrows.
"What about Gavin and I?" I asked, crossing my arms over my chest and spun my chair so I could look at them.
"He's got a crush on you! That's one of the reasons he broke up with Meg, months ago!" Kerry chirped. I chuckled and shook my head.
"That's not true. He broke up with her because she was cheating on him and all they did was argue." I retaliated
"Where is Gavin right now, Gabi?" Miles asked, raising an eyebrow at me.
"Getting me food?" I answered, raising my eyebrow back at Miles.
"Why?" He asked, again.
"Because he offered to get me food??" I said, getting a little irritated. Gavin didn't like me, we were just friends, just roommates, just living with my brother. Speaking of, I needed to get my own place soon.
"No, Gabi. He likes you, before Meg left, he'd go get food for her all the time. And now that she's gone, he's gone to get you food and he'll continue getting you food until you end up leaving or cheating on him as well." Miles said, I shook my head and laughed.
"That's dumb. I bet you ten bucks, Gavin doesn't have feelings for me, guys." I looked up at them and Kerry laughed hysterically.
"Feel free to lose 20 bucks then." Kerry said, getting off my desk and walking over to his, plopping down in his spot next to Blaine. I watched as Miles, soon after Kerry leaving my desk and to his own. I looked over at Jordan, who was staring at what just happened. I sighed and pulled my chair in, pulling on my headphones and resting my elbow on my desk as I edited some videos.
