I looked at The Beast. Utter fear on my face. He walked closer, me thinking he was bite my face off. But he didn't. He ended up licking my face. I scrunched my face while his huge slobbery tounge was attacking my face. While he was licking my face, I looked over at the guys and they seemed shocked. Once he finished he walked away. I wiped my face on my shirt to get rid of extra slobber. I got up and followed him. The guys followed. I stopped next to Benny and Scotty as the guys went ahead. "Woah." We heard them say. We walked around the guys to look. The Beast was pushing away some dirt that covered up a bunch of baseballs. Wow! "Now we can play forever." Benny said. I looked over at him. "Was this from you?" I asked while pointing at the balls. He chuckled and shrugged. "Mainly most of them, yeah." He smiled. We laughed. The Beast walked away and sat behind us, looking at us. "You know what this means now, right?" I asked the guys. They all shrugged. "It means we need to take him to his owner." I told them. "What?!? Your crazy Ash. You have gone mental." Squints said. Benny side punched him. "That's my girl your talking too." He said. "But Benny, Mr. Mertle is the meanest old mad that ever lived. We can't do that." Squints said. "We have too. He has a right to know why his dog isn't chained up, and why the fence tumbled down." I told them. They all sighed and agreed. I grabbed onto the dog's colar and started walking to the front of the house. Benny and Scotty followed me.

Benny, Scotty, and I walked up the front steps. I looked at Benny while he looked back at the guys. I tunred to look at Scotty. He nodded and knocked on the door. I think all of us were holding our breathes right now. We heard a noise and we all saw a tall man slowly walking up to the door. "Hello?" Mr. Mertle asked. By the looks of it, he was wearing sun glasses inside, he must be blind. "This is bad. This is very bad." Squints said. I turned to him and glared. "Um, we-- we-- we brought your dog home." Scotty said. "Hercules? How'd he get out?" He asked. I looked down and then back up to Benny. "I'm telling you guys. We should of just turned it loose." Squints said. "Squints, shut up!" I whispered to him. "Um, uh well, um--" Scotty started but Benny jumped in. "Well what happened was, we hit a baseball into your yard. We tried to get it back." Benny said. "So you're the ones that have been making all that racket." He said. I bite my bottom lip, afraid we were gonna get yelled at or he called the cops. "Yes, sir." Scotty said. He opened the door and put his hand out. "Did you get it?" He asked. Benny handed him the ball. "Uhm, yeah." Scotty said. Mr. Mertle started feeling the ball, "Well, first time that anybody ever got the best of old Hercules." He said. "Why didn't you just knock on the door? I would have gotten it for you." He sighed. I groaned and looked at Squints. Me, Benny, and Scotty glared at him. "Squints!!! Oh, my god!!" The guys shouted at him and started hitting him. "I can't believe you!" Ham shouted. "Stop! We got the ball back, didn't we?" Squints yelled in defeat. "Well we almost got killed." Ham shouted back. "Didn't we get the ball back? Just shut up!" Squints shouted. I giggled. Squints fixed his shirt, "We got the ball back." He said ashamed. Mr. Mertle started laughing. We all looked at him. "Thanks for bringing him home." He said. I handed him Hercules. "Thank you ma'am." He said. I smiled, "You're welcome sir." I replied. He took a hold of Hercules and gave him some water. "Come on in. We'll talk about this baseball." He said. I looked back at them. Scotty walked ahead. I took Benny's hand and followed Scotty. Benny closed the door. "Come on." He said and we walked into his house.
