Chapter 3

I sat at my desk thinking about the bar and him flirting with me. I came to realize I was flirting back. A knock at my door interrupted me.
"Hey, Hotch wants a meeting in ten." Emily said walking in
"No, cases came through me yet." I said looking at my computer as I refreshed my emails
"I dont think its related to that. He seemed to excited." She said sitting down
"Hotch, excited." I laughed as my phone vibrated with a text
*East case, the husband did it.- Will*
"Pleas dont tell me that was a case." She said rolling her eyes
"It wasnt. It was my mom." I said responding
*Team meeting in ten. Hotch is smiling. This might be a good thing.-JJ*
"What did she want?" Emily asked noticing I had a slight smile
"Oh, that she missed me and I need to come visit her my next weekend off." I said starting to have a back up story for a weekend gone
"You actually want to spend time with your mom." She laughed surprised
"Yes, unlike you we are very close." I laughed as I stood up to go to the meeting

"Alright guys, Strauss has been very happy about the cases we have been producing and the success rate. She and the director have given us a week of stand down." He said with a grin
"I will take it. See you all later." Morgan said standing up as Reid followed after him saying a random fact about Chicagos crime rates
"So thats why you were excited this morning?" Emily asked while laughing and standing up
"It might be but I need to get home Hayley has a huge list of things I need to get done." He said also standing up to leave
"Time to go write a new book see you in a week. Do not and I repeat do not call me JJ." Rossi said laughing
"Oh, I wont cause I am going to enjoy this break." I said laughing and looking at my phone seeing a text from Will
"JJ girls night?" Penelope asked as we walked out together.
"I think Im going to see my mom. Its been a while and I miss her." I said smiling
"See you in a week than my little buttercup." She said before she yelled after Morgan
*I hope you get a weekend off. I miss those beautiful blue eyes in person.-Will*
I smiled at the text before it hit me. I had a week off and cant push this.
*Can you call me when you get a chance?-JJ*
I got my things packed up and got to my car before my phone rang and I saw the caller ID being Will
"Hey Jj. You missed me already?" He said calmly making me melt with his accent
"Umm, well maybe but this has nothing to do with that." I laughed
"Ive been coming on to strong and you are seeing someone arent you." He said losing his excitement
"No, not at all. And I a, completely single. Guys find me intimidating once they find out Im with the FBI. But on to the reason why I wanted you to call. We got put on stand down for the next week." I said slightly smiling
"So, when should I pick you up from the airport?" He asked and I knew he had the cute smirk on his face
"Well you want me down for this weekend or for a long weekend?" I asked as I pulled out of my parking spot
"Darlin, I want you here for a week." He said that made me almost drop my phone.
"Let me check on that. Im about to leave the parking lot. I will call you when I get home." I said still in shock
"You dont have to come for a week. I just wanted to get to know you better." He said seeming a little down
"I didnt say no. Let me get home and I will call you." I said smiling hoping he knew I was
"Alright JJ. I can tell by the smile on your face. I will talk to you in a little bit." He said as we said our goodbyes
The whole way home I argued with myself if I should or not. I weighed the pros and cons during my drive home. When I unlocked my door to my apartment, I knew the answer to Will question.
I was going to spend a week with the William LaMontange Jr.
