Chapter 33

"Wheres Will?" She asked standing in the middle of the living room.
"Why are you here?" I asked hoping Will wouldnt wake up
"So I see you are my replacement." She said bitterly
"You left him a long time ago." I said watching Ranger go into the bed room
"Oh bless your heart. I will always be his number one." She said sarcastically
"Ya and thats why he wants nothing to do with you, right?" I said fueling her anger
"Listen here. Once he sees me he will be mine again you and you will go back to living where ever that yankee accent is from and never see him again." She said sitting down on the couch

After a few minutes of awkward silence and glares at each other I heard Will get up.
"Oh damn JJ it smells amazing. Did you go to..." he started to say walking into the living room before Debbie ran and almost tackled him with a hug
"What the hell are you doing here?" Will asked pushing her away automatically
"To be back with you babe." She said in a fake sweet voice
"Um ya you need to go." He said trying to guide her out
"Will Im ready to marry you now. I came back for our future." She said pleading with him
"Im just going to go back to the room." I said awkwardly not wanting to be part of this argument
"No you stay here. You can see what true love is, than you can pack up your stuff and leave.
"True love. You dont know what true love is. You left him with out any reason just because you found someone better." I said starting to get more angry as Will passed me a pair of leggings that were hanging over the couch
"And you think you do?" She asked squaring up to me
"I mean I got the ring and you never did." I said making the lie believable

Silence filled the room and the tension could be sliced with a knife.
"I dont believe you. You dont have a ring on." She said starting to panic
"I dont sleep with it on." I said forgetting I dont actually have a ring
"Its probably mine he was going to use." She said with a laugh
"No I sold yours Debbie. I needed the money to fix up my place." Will said walking closer to me
"I wanna see the ring." She said making herself more at home.
"My side of the bed second drawer." Will said whispering in my ear before I left the room

I walk into the room and go to his side and in the second drawer were I see the blue Tiffanys box with white bow. I undo it and see the black velvet box inside. I open it seeing the ring I have always dreamed of having inside.
Its not yours. I kept repeating to myself as I put it on my left ring finger. Perfect fit.

I walked back out with what seemed to be a weight on my finger.
"Wow Will. You did move on. But I was your first everything and I know I can win you back." She said getting up and finally leaving
I ran after her as she walked down the hallway.
"Debbie, just leave us alone ok. Will is happy with me. You already broke his heart once dont do something to make it break again. We love each other and you cant come running back here when your life sucks." I said trying to not create a scene
"If you were smart you would leave him. All he does is work and will put you second to everything else. I was with him for eight years, I would know. Leave before its to late." She said lying
"Im so glad I have a younger sister so I can spot lies. Just stay away ok. You will never win him back." I said almost in as a threat
"Two can play it that way. Im not going anywhere and Will will be mine again." She said turning and walking away.
I walked back into Wills confused about what just happened when I realized I still had the ring on.
"Here." I said taking it off and giving it back to him
"Its yours." He said putting it back in my hand and kissing my forehead
"Is this like a proposal?" I asked getting nervous
"Well I was going to in like a year and a half but she came and ruined it." Will said holding my free hand
"Was this her ring?" I asked not sure if I would ever want it
"No. I bought that for you yesterday. I told everyone I was on a call but I went out and bought it." He said looking upset
"Will hunny. We have been together for 5 months. Lets not jump into anything soon. I will give this back and when we think the time is right we will bring it out again." I said before giving him a kiss
"Good cause I love you and I dont want to rush this. I like where we are heading." He said pulling me into a giant bear hug
"And dont worry about her. Shes not you." He said making me feel better.
"Now did you go out and buy this breakfast because it actually smells good." He said laughing and walking back to put the ring up.
"You are so funny when you are hungover." I mocked when I started to re heat everything
"Well you do know I make the best breakfast out of the two of us." He said coming behind me and wrapping his arms around my waist
"Why dont you open a diner if you are that sure of it." I mocked him back
"Well cause I dont like smelling like grease." He said laughing
"You do make the best sandwiches though." He said making me feel a little better
"I love you. Happy birthday officially now old man." I said turning around in his arms before he carried me back to the bedroom making our breakfast go cold for the second time this morning.
