Chapter 17

We get home and immediately go up stairs and fall asleep. I woke up before Will seeing he was still taking his nap. I went downstairs to hear my mom talking on the phone with someone.
"I dont think I can. JJ is in town and her boyfriend came with her. I dont think its the right time to have her met you yet." She said
"Ok. The next time shes in town."
"I love you too." She said before hanging up
I walked into the kitchen and grabbed an apple
"I love you too." I mocked before taking a bite
"You heard that?" She asked embarrassed and I nodded yes
"Mom if your dating someone its fine. Dad would want you to be happy. I cant wait to meet him." I said smiling and walking out the kitchen to go back up stairs
It was almost seven and we were getting ready for our night out at Roscos.
"Babe is this ok?" Will asked walking out of the bathroom wearing just a white vneck, jeans, and cowboy boots hidden under the jeans.
"Yes its fine. Is mine ok?" I asked him wearing shorts and a grey vneck and my favorite high school flannel wrapped around my waist
"Darlin you look beautiful. Wait are you wearing cowboy boots?" He asked looking at my feet
"Well of course." I said smiling thinking about the day my dad bought them for me
"Jenn. Where are we going?" He asked as I grabbed my things and pulled him out of the house. He started walking to my car and I stopped him
"We are not taking my car." I said as he gave me a questionable look
"Because we are taking this." I said pulling the cover off of my old two door truck from high school
"You drive a manual 1990 Chevy?" He asked smirking
"You made fun of my small town life whole you lived the city life in New Orleans growing up. I thought it was time for me to show you what its like to grow up in a town with out a bowling alley or McDonalds on every corner." I laughed as we got in and I started the car
"Of only your co-workers could see you." He smiled at me as I drove in and through the town.
"You really thought I was that straight laced. Come on Will thats work I have to be professional." I said as I drove off on to a dirt road that will take us to Roscos
"I do like the unprofessional Jennifer Jareau, especially in bed." He laughed as I pulled up to the bar.
The glowing red sign say Roscos welcomed us as well as the dozen trucks and few motorcycles
"JJ is this a biker bar?" He asked as I parked
"Yes it is." I laughed as we got out
We walked in and all eyes seemed to fall on us.
"We dont let federal agents into this bar." A huge man at the said as we walked in further
"JJ lets go. Its fine." Will whispered in my ear
"But they still allow grumpy old men like you to run this run down joint?" I asked as the music seemed to stop so everyone can listen to the banter
"This joint was nothing but good to you." He said scoffing
"I heard its a little run down now." I said watching him step out from behind the bar to approach me
"Well it started to since you left us hanging." He said trying not to laugh
"Im sorry. Life took over. I followed my dreams." I said as I stepped up to him
"Turn the music back on and go back to doing whatever the hell you were doing." He demanded as everything went back to normal and got loud
"Hey, Uncle Scott." I said as he pulled me into a hug
"I think I scared him." He said looking over at Will who was trying to look like he was protecting me.
"Who are you?" He asked sticking his hand out to Will
"William LaMontange Jr." he said shaking it
"Scott Jareau. Im her dads brother." He said laughing
"Well that makes me feel better." He said laughing
"I heard your called Will." He said as we followed him to the bar
"You heard right." Will said as we sat down and he went behind giving me my usual beer
"What can I get you Will?" He asked and pointed at my beer and was given the same thing
"I will be back." He said leaving us alone
"Something you want to tell me." He said as I smiled drinking my beer
"Welcome to Roscos." I laughed
"So you worked here?" He asked laughing
"All through out highschool. I bartended and was in charge of the books." I said laughing
"Well I'd be damned." He said giving me a kiss on the cheek

The night continued on and we drank, played pool and line danced the night away. When we left it was almost one in the morning.
"Let me drive." Will said as we walked out to the truck
We started driving until I told him to pull over. I pointed out directions to my favorite spot to go and think. We got out and sat in the bed of the truck.
"I think I have blankets under the seats." I said getting them and putting them in the back. After we got them spread out we laid cuddled up next to each other looking at the stars.
"Is there anything else you would like to tell me?" Will asked making me laugh
"Im the best at darts in the town." I laughed
"Everyday you seem to amaze me even more." He said kissing my forehead
"I never plan on stopping that." I said feeling completely safe in his arms
"Can I tell you something?" He asked as we looked deep into each others eyes. I nodded yes.
"I love you Jennifer Jareau."
