Chapter 14

I stood out front of my childhood home still dumbfounded that my mom just waltzed off with him. My thoughts were broken with the sound of an old pick up truck pulled up out front.
"Aunty JJ!" A small voice yelled as I got my legs attacked
"Hey little one." I said picking up my niece and giving her a hug
"Granny said you would be here." She cheered as I watched my brother get out of the truck
"Hey little sis." My brother said giving me a hug
"Granny said you brought a friend." She said as a smile took up her face
"I did. But she stole him from me." I said as I watched my brother Nates face change
"Him? Holly go inside." He said as she slipped out of my arms and ran inside
"So?" He asked smiling
"What?" I asked trying not to laugh
"Your dating again?" He asked as we walked up to the porch
"Ya. And he makes me happy so dont scare him." I said pointing my finger at him
"I will do what I want." He scoffed and walked in
I walked in two minute later after hearing a crash
"What the hell?" I asked seeing Will pinned up against a wall with Nate holding him by his shirt
"Language." My mom said holding Holly
"Really mom. Your going to tell me language as my boyfriend is being slammed up against the wall by Nate." I said walking over and pushing Nate away from Will
"What is your problem?" I asked him before both of them started cracking up laughing
"JJ, I know Will." Nate said laughing
"What do you mean?" I asked looking at the both of them
"We met three years ago at a police conference in Dallas." Will said laughing
"What?" I asked confused still
"We are friends. We did it as a joke. You took your sweet time getting in here so we planned this." Nate said before they gave each other the man hug
I rolled my eyes and went to the kitchen to get some water and to calm down. I walked out to the back porch and sat down. Will came and sat down next to me.
"Im sorry Cher. I didnt realize you wouldnt find it funny. I didnt know your brothers last name I only knew him by Nate." He said as he put his arm around my shoulder and kissed my forehead. I stayed silent.
"You do realize that was the first time you called me your boyfriend." He said as his southern voice made me smile
"I mean we are dating right?" I asked looking at him
"Jennifer Jareau, I would be more than happy to be your boyfriend." He smiled before cupping my face and giving me a deep kiss. We were interrupted by a gagging sound. We turned around to see Holly there with a disgusted look on her face
"Come ere ya little monster." Will said grabbing her and tickling her making her squeal of laughter
"Im going in side." I said standing up and walking into the kitchen and to help my mom
"I like him." She said passing me a knife and vegetables to cut
"I think I love him." I said smiling
"He loves you. I know he does by the look one his face. Nathan likes him too. Hes a keeper Jenny, dont let him go." She said before Holly ran in running from Will, who was apparently the tickle monster
Will stopped and gave me a kiss on the cheek and stole two carrot pieces and went back to chasing Holly.

We sat down at dinner to eat my moms famous chicken pot pies. Dinner went smoothly before Holly asked a question shes been sitting on for a while.
"Is Will going to be my uncle?" The six year old asked full of innocence, making me choke on my water
"Uhh, I dont know. Ask him yourself." Nate smiled egging on wanting to know how serious we are
"Yeah? Are you going to join our family Will?" My mom asked making me give her a look to stop
"In all honesty I plan on it. Jennifer is beautiful and perfect in every way. I dont ever plan on giving her up and time soon." He said grabbing my hand as my eyes teared up
"So, do I get to call you Uncle Will or no?" Holly asked getting impatient
"Its up to your daddy and JJ." He said as I stood up and excused my self and went out to the tree I sat by when I needed to think.
My thoughts were interrupted by Will once again as he sat next to me.
"Im sorry." He said breaking the silence
"For what?" I asked not really sure why he was apologizing when it should be me
"Me wanting to be Holly's uncle. We have never talked about it and about me becoming part of your family. We just started dating and just got the titles. I just dont want to push you..." He started to ramble before I shut him up by crashing my lips to his
"Just stop." I said as we pulled away and our foreheads were touching as we looked deep into each others eyes

We sat out under that tree talking about how we were going to make our long distance relationship work. We were interrupted by Holly yelling from the porch
"Aunty JJ and Uncle Will, Granny said to get in here and have some pie." She yelled before going back in
"So I guess Im Uncle Will." He laughed standing up and helping me stand up
We both laughed together as we went back in to eat the pie.

The rest of the night felt comfortable until it was time for us to go to bed after Nate and Holly left. Will brought our stuff inside and put mine in my old room and his in Nates room. I laid in my childhood room not able to sleep without Will by my side. I slowly crept out of bed and opening up the door to where he was and snuck inside.
"What are you doin?" He asked  turning on the lamp on the night stand
"I couldnt sleep." I said shrugging my shoulders
"Well come on." He said lifting the blanket and I snuggled up next to him falling asleep peacefully in his arms.
