Thanksgiving Part 4

"Lets go find your mom." Will whispered in my ear taking me out of my surprised state
"We have a problem." I said walking into the kitchen
"What?" My mom asked flustered
"Eileen invited them over." I said fast
"Who?" She asked confused
"Rachels family." Will said for me
"Oh shit." She said looking at me
"What do we do?" I asked looking between them
"Whats their faces are out there." Kris said walking into the kitchen as we gave her the no shit look
"So you all figured it out already." She said as I rolled my eyes
"Well did you do it Will?" My mom asked
"Ya I did. It was a yes to more of a promise ceremony. So I never gave her the ring." He said scratching the back of his head
"Do you have the ring?" My mom asked him
"Ya." He said doing a cheeky smile
"Go get it." Kris and my mom said together as he ran upstairs
"Am I missing something?" I asked unsure of what happened
"Nope but Will got the message. You might need this." Kris said giving me a glass of wine and winking

We sat opposite of of Rachel and Hunter and everyone could feel the tension between the four of us as we ate dinner
"So Will tell me about yourself." Uncle Scott asked as everyone in the family want to know more about him
Will told everyone about himself and answered as many questions as he could from they younger cousins.
"So you are a killer like Jen?" Rachel said making me want to kick her from under the table
"They arent killers. They are super heros just like Nate." My younger cousin Garret answered with food in his mouth
"Can we not talk about killings at the table it is Thanksgiving." My grandma said shooting both Rachel and Hunter a look
"Why do you have a baby?" Holly asked as she moved to sit on my lap and looked at Rachel
"Because I wanted one." She said simply knowing it was a lie
"Daddy said you have to be married to have babies." She said making me drop my fork on the table
"You dont have to be. As long as the mommy and daddy love each other." She said looking at Hunter in an assumed loving way
"Aunty JJ and Uncle Will love each other but they dont have a baby because they are waiting until they are married." She said causing Hunter to give Will an evil look
"Alright enough." My mom said ending the conversation
"It looks like everyone is done." Wendy said starting to collect plates as I passed Holly to Will and joined in

"Im sorry about all of that." I told Wendy in the kitchen after washing the dishes
"Whats the story?" She asked
I told her the story and she gave me a hug.
"Im sorry about all of that dear. They shouldnt be here anyway." She said knowing it was true
"Jadge. Will wants you." Shelby said coming into the kitchen

"I have something to say." He said pulling me into the middle of the living room with everyone surrounding us in a way
"I met Jennifer eight months ago and it was love at first sound." He started to say to everyone around us
"If you dont know our story we met on a case that her team helped me solve. I talked to her on the phone a couple of times trying to get her and her team to help solve the case and she had a voice of an angel. When she first walked on to the crime scene my jaw pretty much hit the floor because she was the most gorgeous women who walked into my life. I flirted as hard as I could with her in the bar as we waited for her team mates to call but she was and is still focused on the rules. After the case was finished she gave me her number and I made sure she knew I was thinking of her. I fell head over heals in love with her at first sight." He said finishing and looking at my watery eyes
"Jennifer Lynn Jareau I would walk to Thailand barefoot and back for you. Will you please do me the honor and be my wife?" He asked getting down on his knee and opening the same box from his apartment two months ago
"Yes. Yes I will." I said unable to control my emotions as tears fell down my face as he slipped the ring on and gave me a passionate kiss as everyone cheered around us

I was on cloud nine for the rest of the night even though it was just meant to rub it into Hunters face. I did see us together for our future and I did want to marry him.
"Can I talk to you alone?" Hunter asked coming up to Will and I
"Um sure." I said walking with him to the kitchen giving Will the its ok look

"You always told me you didnt want to get married." He said as soon as we were in there
"At that time we were in college and you were a drunk." I said folding my arms
"I would have changed for you." He said giving me that puppy dog look
"No you wouldnt have." I said still holding my ground
"We belong together." He said taking a step towards me as I took one back
"Hunter stop. I dont belong to you I belong to Will. You have Rachel and a baby thats your problem. Learn to understand you will never have me again." I said before Rachel walked in
"I cant believe you are settling down." She said looking at me
"I am and Im happy with who he is as a man." I said seeing Will laughing and playing with my cousins
"Im sorry for what happened." She said trying to make up for what they did
"Save it. I dont care anymore." I said walking out to get he with Will.

"So we are engaged right?" I asked watching Will change into pajamas
"Whatever you want it to be darlin." He said with a small laugh
"But we can wait until we are officially ready right?" I asked not ready for the team to know about us
"How about this. You tell me when to ask you again and I will as you right on the spot." He said sitting next to me on my bed
"That sounds perfect." I said kissing his cheek
"Good now get you PJs on so we can go to bed." He said said standing up and unmaking the bed
"I cant. Its shopping time." I said standing up to give him a hug before leaving him alone until I got back.
