"You look happy." Shelby said when we got into the car
"Am I not suppose to?" I asked as she rolled her eyes
"I think you have an important question to ask me." She said putting her feet on the dash
"Oh and what would that be." I said laughing and driving towards Nates house
"Yes I will." She said confusing me
"You will what?" I asked now bothering her
"I will be your maid of honor. I know you had a lot to choose from but I love that you chose me." She said making me laugh more
"We arent getting married right away. It will be a long engagement until we are both ready to be married." I said pulling up in front of Nates house seeing Katie run to the car
"If you have someone else I will kill you. I know where you live." She said right as Katie opened the door
"Nate always warned me about you Shelby." She said making me laugh
"Well you missed out on a fun interesting night." Shelby said rolling her eyes
"Holly did tell me all about it. I wish I was able to but my parents wanted to celebrate with me." She said a little disappointed
"It was something." I said pulling away
"Well congratulations Jenn." She said smiling
"Thanks now it Nates turn." I said winking at her
"I dont think he will. He has Holly to worry about and she should always come before me." She said making me happy she realized it for herself
"Holly has told me she wishes you were her mom." Shelby said not looking up from her phone
"She told me too." I said sitting at the red light
"I cant replace her real mom." She said making me actually want her to be my sister in law
"Oh you wont Jadge took care of that." Shelby said making me punch her softly
"What does that mean?" Katie asked confused
"When Holly was born, Karen, her mom, wanted to give her up for adoption but Nate was able to keep Holly. They tried the whole family thing for a few months but she left in the middle of the day. JJ was watching Holly thinking Karen wanted to run errands by herself but she never came back. Nate called and asked if we had Holly and we did. She left a note saying she couldnt do it and that she was sorry and left." Shelby said as we parked next to the doors
"Thats terrible." Katie said as we all got out
"But it gets better. JJ found her at this run down hotel in Baltimore and threatened for her to never come back. Holly never met her mom so she doesnt know who to compare what one is. She only has me, JJ and mom as the mother figure. But me and mom spoil her to much and JJ is barely ever here." Shelby said as we walked to the front of the line
"So she sees me as one." She said and we both nodded yes
"If Nate does would you mind if I did adopt her so she could be mine?" She asked as we both nodded excitedly and hugged her
"I take that as a yes. And how did we just cut everyone?" She asked as soon as I knocked on the door
"I have connections." I said smiling as the door opened and my old high school gay best friend stood on the other side
"My favorite Jareaus!" He said loudly and excitedly
"Matt this is Katie, Nates girlfriend." I said introducing them
"So hes never going to be gay." He said disappointed before grabbing my left hand
"What the hell is this?!" He asked guiding us to the shoes.
"Im engaged." I said as it was not big deal and picked up the closes heel
"Oh no honey. Thats not an engagement ring thats a you really know what you are doing in bed ring." He said making me laugh and lightly hit him
"He has a sexy accent!" Shelby yelled from the clothes
"Oh does he." He said making a smile
"Yes he does. Hes from New Orleans." I said thinking of my southern man
"Oh damn you go girl. Now shop around remember only two and a half hours." He said leaving us alone

Five hours later we filled the car full of bags.
"So did you get anything for Ryan?" I asked Shelby as she closed her eyes in the back seat
"Shut up." She said leaning against the window
"I take that as a yes." Katie said laughing
"What did you get Will?" Shelby asked half asleep
"A watch." I said happy with it
"Lame." She said laughing
"Im going to get it engraved." I said planning it already
"Whatever." She said as we pulled up in front of Wills house
"I will see you later Katie." I said as she said the same

"Shelbs we are home." I said yawning as I parked the car
"Uhg." She groaned getting out and helping me bring bags in
We finally got everything into the house and I immediately went upstairs to go to bed
"Are you finally home?" Will asked all sleepy and adorable
"Yes." I said changing into leggings and his shirt
"Finally I can go to bed. Get in here." He said lifting the blankets up for me to cuddle into him
"I love you my fiancé." He said pulling me closer and kissing my forehead
"I love you too." I said relaxing into his hold and falling asleep
