Chapter 19

"Really? Right now Emily?" I asked trying to get things together hoping it would be a work day.
"Yes really. I showed up and you had a guy over. I didnt think dating was your thing." She said still refusing to leave
"Its called a one night stand." I said making my heart hurt
"No it wasnt. You even said your self you didnt get to see him that much." She said reminding me that I did say that.
"Ok so Im seeing someone." I said causing me to smile
"Have I met him?" She asked starting the 21 questions
"No and no you will not meet him until I think Im ready. Dont not tell the team." I said before Penelope came in
"Dont tell the team what?" She asked sitting down as well
"JJ is seeing someone." Emily said as I looked up at her and rolled my eyes
"Oh my goodness JJ!" She said excited as I remained silent
"How do you know Emily?" She asked
"I went over and JJ answered in just a t shirt from SMU." She said smiling
"Jadge you went to Georgetown." She said before I had enough
"Stop you two. Please Im not even sure its going to work out between us. Its long distance and with mine and his job we are always busy." I said throwing my file I was looking defeated. There goes my secret.
"Sorry JJ we wont mention it again." Emily said as they both got up and left
I looked at my personal phone and went through the pictures of me and Will. Was I really that nervous of losing him? I asked myself before I received an email from a detective in Colorado. It looked urgent and in need of the team.

I briefed the team and went to my office to get my go-bag and called Will.
"Hey you have reached Will LaMontange. Im a little busy but I will call you when I can." His southern voice made me smile even if it was his voicemail
"Hey Will. Its JJ. We just got a case in Colorado. I will keep you updated as much as I can. I love you." And with that I hung up and got in the elevator with everyone else.
The plane ride felt long and I was already dealing with the media. My phone buzzed, looking down at it I saw Will's name. I ignored it and continued to work. It buzzed again indicating he left a message
"Hey, JJ. Just landed and I miss your beautiful face. Call me when you land or when you have time. I love you." Was what played as I listened and looked out the window

Once we landed I was nonstop dealing with the media. Cases that involve children always seem to get the most attention. It was already ten in Colorado meaning it was at least midnight or later in New Orleans. I risked it and called when I got to the hotel room.
"Hello." His sleepy southern drawl came through
"Hey. Sorry for calling so late." I said feeling bad for waking him
"JJ you can call me at any time. As long as Im your and your mine the sleep can wait." He said making me smile
"So whats the case?" He asked waking more up
"Kids." Was all I could say
"Its going to be alright. Your team will find him like always." He said making me smile
"I know its just hard." I said wishing I was in his arms
"Darlin thats the mother thoughts in you." He said with a small laugh
"What is up with you thinking of me being a mother?" I asked getting a small laugh from him
"Well its just a thought. I mean I do want to be with you for the long run." He said making me worry a little more
"But the distance.." I started to say before he cut me off
"This distance means nothing. We have been together for two and a half months talking on the phone everynight. You are worrying yourself for nothing." He said calming some of my nerves
"Im sorry." Was all I could say
"Hunny your tired from today mentally and emotionally. Go to bed. I will talk to you tomorrow. I love you." He said
"I love you too." I responded knowing he can make me smile with those three words

The next morning came and went with the no new leads on the unsub. By the afternoon I was need for a press conference. I answered everything needed and tried to avoid the ones that would create panic in the town. I sat in the room listening to the team come up with ideas.
"JJ what do you think?" Spencer asked while looking at the map
"About what?" I asked confused
"When he will do his next kiddnapping?" He asked still turned to the map I shrugged and didnt answer.
"With the profile we gave to the officers, I hate to say it but I think tonight in the park across from the school." Emily said as just a theory
"I dont think shes to far off." Derek said agreeing with her
"We will surround the park tonight." Hotch said standing up to leave and fill the lead detective in on our plans.

Later that night I sat in the precinct waiting for news. I decided to call Will while everyone was away.
"Hey." He answered
"Hey. I miss you." I said wishing I could take in his after shave.
"Its only been two days and I miss you like crazy too." He said making me smile
"Did you get the guy?"
"Not that I know of. The team is out right now." I said looking back over paper work
"Well I do believe it is your turn to come back down." He said knowing he was smiling
"I do know that. Im just not sure when I will be back yet." I said standing up and going towards the map getting a new idea.
"Hey Im going to need to call you back." I told him needing to call the team.
"Alright I love you stay safe."
"I love you too Will." I said hanging up before calling Emily

"Hey Emily. I dont think hes going to be at that park." I said as soon as she answered
"Why?" She asked putting it on speaker
"He never abducts from the same park that he dumps the body. If this is our guy the first child he left behind was at that park." I said looking for a park without a marking on it.
"Thanks JJ." She said before hanging up
"Agent Jareau. We have a call for you. They are asking for you, they said they watched the press conference." An officer said giving me an extension number
"This is Agent Jareau." I said and only got heavy breathing back.

So Im kindof making up new cases and not sticking to the ones that were shown. Some one the big episodes I will do like Penelope. Thanks for reading 😊
