Chapter 20

"This is Agent Jareau." I repeated again
"The team went to the wrong area. The kid is still alive." A deep husky voice said back
"Can you prove it?" I asked putting it on speaker and called Garcia to connect the team to hear the phone call
"Agent Jareau I cant do that." They responded
"Why not?" I asked again
"Because it will give it away." They responded
"Give what away?" I asked as Garcia said she got the location
"The surprise." They said before hanging up

Two hours later the team was back with no unsub but the newly missing boy. And we were back on the plane.
"So, hows the friend?" Emily asked quietly sitting in front of me
"Good. We have been busy and have not talked since lunch." I said looking up from my report I was working on.
"So is he good?" She asked smiling
"Good?" I question playing with Wills necklace
"You know, in bed." She laughed
"Uhhh, ya he is." I smiled thinking back to our nights
"Come on JJ. I need something." She laughed
"Why my personal life?" I laughed
"Cause you are one of the youngest on the team. You have to have a crazy personal life." She said laughing
"Im only twenty seven. And between work, him and my mother there isnt much going on." I laughed looking out the window.
"Fine. But this is not over. I will get more details." She laughed as we stood up to get off

I get back to my apartment and called Will right away.
"Hey, JJ." He said a little slurred
"You sound busy. Call me later." I said as I heard some loud music as well
"No, its fine. Hold on." He said as the music quieted down
"Alright, Cher. Sorry Ive had a few. We are celebrating a huge case we solved." He said and I could see his grin I fell in love with
"We both did great this week." I laughed as I dropped my go bag on my bed
"How was yours?" He asked
"Good. The unsub was killed but we saved the missing boy." I said pulling clothes out and throwing them into my laundry basket
"You always sound so sexy when your tired." He said making me laugh
"How do you know Im tired?" I asked trying to not yawn
"I can hear it in your voice." He responded as my yawn finally happened
"I miss you." I said repacking my go bag with clean clothes
"I miss you too. When are you coming back down?" He asked indicating it was my turn.
"Soon Im just hoping for paper work tomorrow and Friday." I laughed
"Then you will be down?" He asked
"Maybe, Im not sure yet." I laughed and picked up my laundry basket
I walk into my living room when a knock came at my door.
"Hold up Will. Some one is at my door and its like eleven at night." I said before hanging up and grabbing my gun
I slowly opened my door with my gun ready in case anything would happen.
I opened to see my younger sister and two duffle bags on the floor.
"What the hell Shelby." I said lowering my gun and putting the safety on
"I need a place to stay at." She said innocently and I stepped back letting her in
"Why are you not at school?" I asked once she came in
"I dropped out." She said looking down at her shoes
"Why? You were on a scholarship." I asked getting worried
"Im not like you or Nate. I was failing all my classes." She said sounding upset
"Does mom know?" I asked pinching the bridge of my nose
And watched her shake her head no.
"Fine. You can stay here for the night." I said picking up my phone to call Will back as she went to my guest room.
"Hey who was it?" He asked picking up sounding like he was back at home by the sound of Ranger barking in the background
"My younger sister." I said dryly
"Oh yeah. I saw a picture of a younger you and two other girls. You have an older sister too." He said making me remember I never told him about Roz.
"I did. But I will tell you about her the next time I see you." I said avoiding her
"Alright Cher. I love you." He said as I walked towards the guest room
"I love you too. Goodnight." I said hanging up and knocking on the door
"Come in." She said sadly
I walked in and saw her sitting there with a tear streaked face.
"Why did you really leave Georgetown?" I asked sitting next to her on the bed
"I.. I think I was raped." Was all she could say before breaking down and I wrapped her into a tight embrace.
She slowly cried herself to sleep in my arms. I got up and went to my room trying to get some sleep before crying to myself. My little sister possibly being raped killed me.

My alarm went off at 5:30, time for work. I walked and peaked into see her still sleeping. I could leave her like this and I picked up my work phone and dialed Hotch.
"JJ please tell me we dont have a case." He said tiredly
"No, we dont. I cant make it in today or tomorrow. A family matter came up and I need to take care of it." I said still standing at the door watching her sleep.
"Is everything okay?" He asked
"Yeah." Was all I could say
"Alright. I will see you Monday." He said with no emotion and hung up.
I walked into the kitchen making my self a cup of coffee before calling my mom.
"JJ your up early." Her cheerful voice said
"Im usually up this early." I said taking a sip
"You work to much. Why are you calling?" She questioned wanting to get right to the point
"Shelby came over last night. I think you and Nate need to get here. Its important." Was all I wanted to say over the phone.
"Is everything ok?" She asked getting worried.
"I hope so. I will let her explain it." I said before saying goodbye and hanging up.
