Chapter 37

Thanksgiving part 2

God damnit Will. I thought to myself as I stayed outside waiting for Nate and the units.
"Wheres Will?" Nate asked getting out of his car
"He decided to play hero. Give me a gun." I said holding my hand out
"No your not going in there too." He said refusing to
"Dont make me pull rank and make this a federal hostage situation." I said still holding my hand out
"You wouldnt." He said as I turned around to get my work phone out of my purse
"Try me." I said getting ready to dial Will to make it believable
"Get her a vest and a gun." He said walking away and shaking his head

He lined up his men to go in to the center when needed.
"Im going in with." I said finishing up strapping the vest on
"No. Mom will already kill me and Will when she finds out and will bring me back from the dead to re kill me for letting you in." He said as we fought like normal siblings in front of his men
"Fine." I said walking away as he got ready to try and communicate with who ever was inside.
Nate was to distracted by his men and trying to communicate to not pay attention to me as I slowly made my way to the community center
"Jennifer! What the hell!" I heard yelled behind me as I drew my gun and walked in

"Will." I whispered as I slowly walked the hallways
"Over here." I heard from the gym area
I followed it to see the local basketball team sitting on the opposite side of the wall from the doors.
"Have you seen a guy around this tall with a southern accent?" I asked measuring Wills height as the nodded yes and pointed to the locker room making my heart race faster

I walked into the locker room seeing Will sitting on top of a young kid.
"Will?" I asked still holding my gun out
"Its alright. Cuffs?" He asked looking at me with blood dripping down his face
"No let me call Nate." I said just wanting to hug him

"What the hell is wrong with you." He said picking up immediately
"Everyone is fine bring me in a pair of cuffs." I said hanging up to not hear him yell

"Jen?" Nate asked walking in gun drawn
"Put it down its fine. Just give Will the cuffs." Said point at him
"Anyone hurt?" He asked Will as he handcuffed him and passed him to another officer who read him his rights and walked him out
"No. Just a crazy kid who was upset and a terrible shot." He said pointing at the three bullet holes in the lockers behind us
"Alright. I will worry about getting the boys statements today and I will get yours tonight or tomorrow." He said letting us go

"Always have to be a hero." I said getting in the drivers seat
"I wasnt going to let people get killed when I could have prevented it." He said looking at his cut in the rearview mirror
"But what about me. You werent armed and you didn't have a vest on. I could have lost you." I said tearing up
"Babe Im sorry." He said reaching his hand over to hold mine
"Mom is going to kill you." I said wiping away the one lone tear that fell
"I know she will." He said with a small laugh
"Holly and Shelby are not going to be happy that you have a cut over your eye." I said laughing pulling into my neighborhood
"Just help me clean it up babe." He said as I parked
"I always will." I said kissing him on his cheek before we got out

"William LaMontange Jr. are you serious." My mom said as soon as we walked into the door
"JJ went in too. " He said pointing at me immediately and received a slap on the shoulder from me
"I will deal with you two later. Go get cleaned up and get ready for dinner. Family will be here soon." She said frustrated and walked back into the kitchen
"It feels so good to be moms favorite." Shelby said sitting up in the couch earning her a middle finger from the both of us as we walked up stairs

"This might sting." I said getting a rag ready to clean the blood off
"We should get matching tattoos." He said right before I placed the rag on his eyebrow
"Why is that?" I asked with a smile
"Because we could be one of those couples." He said with a laugh
"Fine but we have to both like it." I said agreeing to a stupid idea
"Really?" He questioned as I finished cleaning him up
"Really." I said nodding and standing in between his legs and giving him a deep kiss
The doorbell rang and interrupted our moment.
"Im going to go change." I said resting my forehead on his.
"Im right behind you." He said giving me one more kiss

I walked down first to greet who I was guessing to be my grandma and Uncle Scott from my dads side.
"You look gorgeous dear." My grandma said giving me a hug when she saw me
"You look even better Gran." I said pulling away from her
"Still with the feds?" My Uncle Scotts asked before giving me a hug
"Yes I am." I said smiling
"Who is that handsome young man?" My grandma asked seeing Will in the kitchen
"Thats the new boyfriend." My uncle laughed and went and sat on the couch with Shelby bothering her now
"Well I wanna meet him." She said walking towards the kitchen
