Chapter 29

"Girls Jenny and her friend from the FBI are here to get some more information about what had happened lately." Hannah the president of the sorority said
"Thanks Hannah." Emily said as we stepped in front of them
"So there is currently a rapist on campus and your sorority has been mainly targeted." Emily continued as I watched the girls reaction and than looked at Emily knowing the girls werent into it.
"Emily they arent going to respond to you." I whispered to her as she nodded and left the house

"Ok so lets get personal." I said standing alone in front of them
"Who has been raped since starting college?" I asked not wanting to know the answer as I watched more than half of the girls raise their hands as I sighed
"How many were tested and ended up being the same person as a sister?" I asked as only a few went down.
"We are trying our best to catch the guy. Emily my partner can be trusted. Please tell her your story or tell me. Im a sister." I said as they all got up and left
"Thanks Jenny. I think the girls needed that. We miss having you around and we miss Shelby." Hannah said walking me out of the house

"What was that about Jenny?" Emily asked laughing
"Trust." I said knowing she didnt want to leave
"The whole sisterhood thing. I get it. Just never took you for one." She laughed
"Well I was for all four years." I laughed as we walked into the campus police station
"Emily JJ we have some girls ready to be interviewed." Morgan said as we turned the corner and saw girls lined up
"Lets get started." Emily said as we walked into different interview rooms

"Babe it was terrible." I said on the phone with Will while I made a grilled cheese sandwich
"Hunny you are personally connected to them. You went to school there and you are a sister." He said being right
"I know. But it was so hard to listen to their stories." I said taking the sandwich off the stove
"Cher it will be alright. Have a glass of wine and I already know you made a grilled cheese." He said making me laugh
"How did you know that I made a grilled cheese?" I asked taking a bite
"Because you always do during hard cases or you go out and get one." He said knowing me to well
"They never...." I started to say before he cut me off
"Taste like mine. Its cause of the butter." He laughed making me laugh
"You know me so well." I said
"A reason why I love you." He said before a knock was at my door
"And I love you too. Someone is at my door hold on." I said grabbing my gun and walking over to answer it
"Hannah?" I asked opening it and putting my behind my back
"Jenny we need to talk." She said sounding serious
"Hey I will call you back." I said hanging up on Will and let her in

"Whats going on? How do you know where I live?" I asked still surprised she is at my apartment
"I asked Shelby. He got me tonight." She said before crying
"What do you mean?" I asked grabbing a tissue box
"I was walking home from the library and he came from behind and tried to force me into the alley. But I was able to escape." She said as I pulled her into my side
"Did you get any idea what he looked like?" I asked
"I know him." She said starting to cry again
"Ok. Well you are safe here tonight. Tomorrow we can go to the station." I said helping her stand up and go to the guest room.
"Thanks Jenny." She said walking in "By the way your boyfriend is cute." She said stopping and turning around
"Dont say anything about him to my team. They will bother me if they find out." I said
"Your secret is safe with me." She said smiling

I walked back into my room and called Will again
"It was a sister and it doesnt look good." I said sighing and sitting down on my bed.
"Just think when you come down I will make you the best grilled cheese you have ever had." He said making me smile
"I love you." I said receiving it back
"Hey so this weekend is my birthday. I didnt want to worry you incase I pick up drunk or dont pick up at all." He said as I knew he was smirking
"I know. I heard in the hospital." I said
"Are you going to come down?" He asked knowing he wants me to
"Im not really sure babe. With this case I might not be able to." I said as a lie to get him to believe it knowing this case will be over tomorrow and paper work will be done Thursday
"Oh. Alright." He said sounding sad
"Im sorry babe. I really wish I could but Im just not sure at this time." I said feeling even more guilty
"Its fine. Im only turning thirty." He said disappointed
"Old man." I said trying to get him to laugh
"Well this old man has a hot young girlfriend who he loved like crazy." He said making me smile
"And she loves him like crazy." I said still smiling
"Cher go to bed. It late and you have to be up early tomorrow. I love you." He said as I told him the same and we hung up
